Homemade Mapo Tofu 麻婆豆腐

  1. Medium heat the cooking pan with 3 tbsp of olive oil.
  2. Add 1 tbsp bean paste, 1 tbsp Sichuan chili oil, minced garlic and red chili pepper. (*slowly cook)
  3. Add quarter pound of ground meat (cook well done)
  4. Add diced tofu cubes
  5. Add 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of oyster sauce and half cup of chicken broth.
  6. High heat for a minute, then add “cornstarch mixed with water” to thicken the sauce.
  7. Add half tbsp of sesame oil, scallion and cilantro.
