what is the difference between marketing and bullshit?"
And to them I answer that while the differences are subtle, they are
many. First the word Marketing has 9 letters, and the word bullshit
only 8.
Additionally, marketing is intended to serve a particular purpose ...
to enrich the marketer, while bullshit is more general, sometimes
being merely for entertainment.
And of course, interpretations are personal, what may seem like total
bullshit to you, to another person may GENERATE a strange COMPULSION
to BUY.
So the next time you come across something that seems like total bullshit,
ask yourself, "How could I see this as marketing, and generate a comulsion
to BUY THIS PRODUCT immediately?"
The Key to Power, Wealth and Influence

This is a short version of the First Key to Power, Wealth and
Influence. The complete explanation is in the up and coming book,

Some time in the ancient past, human beings changed from being nomadic
hunter-gatherers to sedentary agriculturalists. Over time, as the
food storage technology improved, there was a general explosion in
science and technology, leading eventually to the development of the
printing press , the industrial revolution and the technological society
that we know today as civilisation.
Despite these great advances, an element was introduced to human behaviour
in the agricultural revolution that has grown and festered ever since.
This behavioural element is a secret key that can be leveraged and used
to generate Power, Wealth and Influence.
This element is simply known as boredom. At any time, in any place in
the world, there are millions of people, bored out of their minds.
So bored are they, it is actually a source of great mental pain and
suffering. Relief from this boredom is most commonly found in
some kind of drug. Other ways include "entertainment", sex and
violence.
So the Key then, to Power, Wealth and Influence, is to offer people a
way to relieve their boredom, that is more interesting than their
current "cure". Do this, and the world is your oyster.
