Rods ... Alien Creatures?
What are these strange beings known as Rods?
A New Life Form Identified
A new form of life was first identified by New Mexico researcher José Escamilla, who named them Rods (or "flying serpents"). These are flying entities of unknown origin and nature that travel at incredibly high speeds, making them barely visible and remain uncategorized by science.
Rods are typically over 16 cm long and are often found inhabiting caves or cavities, although they frequently emerge and fly near people close to their caves. For example, their presence has been confirmed in a cave in the Sótano de las Golondrinas, located in the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. However, Rods have also been documented in areas where no apparent caves or cavities are present.
These creatures have long, slender, presumably cylindrical bodies with lateral membranes resembling legs. The number of these "legs" appears to depend on the size of the Rod. They are reportedly luminous white in color, and the rapid undulating motion of their lateral membranes enables their extremely fast flight.
Footage of Rods leaves little doubt that they are intelligent beings. They have been recorded flying at high speeds with rapid changes in direction to avoid humans in their path. For instance, this behavior is clearly visible in footage filmed at the Sima de las Golondrinas in Mexico. In one remarkable video, a Rod is seen wrapping itself around the waist of a boy dressed in a Mariachi costume while he is singing.
Rods fly so fast that they can only be seen by slowing down video footage. Often, infrared recordings are necessary to capture them on video.
Rods were officially sighted for the first time on March 19, 1994, in Midway, New Mexico, when a series of video recordings captured strange flying objects that became visible upon slowing the footage. This discovery led to an investigation that revealed the existence of Rods, named after a type of bacteria because their shape resembles that of a cylindrical bacterium seen under a microscope.
Subsequent investigations documented the presence of Rods not only in the USA and Mexico but also in Europe, where they are often referred to by the Spanish term "Barros." Rods have been confirmed in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, and Italy, where their presence has been indisputably captured in nearly every region, using both traditional and infrared cameras.
The fact that Rods were discovered in 1994 does not mean they have not existed for millennia or longer. For example, in San Jardin, Argentina, there are carvings over a thousand years old that depict Rods. However, it is unclear how they could have been observed with the naked eye, as their form can only be identified using electronic equipment, leaving room for legitimate doubts.
In a National Geographic documentary filmed in the waters of the Yucatan, Mexico, what appears to be a Rod was captured on video for a few seconds. Similarly, in Italy, there are reports from 1977 of fishermen witnessing Rods diving into the Adriatic Sea. However, their ability to travel underwater remains unconfirmed, adding further doubts.
Rods seem to be boneless, and as a result, when they die, they decompose without leaving any physical trace.
Photographic and Video Evidence
What is truly astonishing is the massive amount of photographic and video documentation of these beings (with thousands of videos alone), which are unlike any known terrestrial life forms. Yet, official science continues to deny their existence. Rods have even been captured by stationary surveillance cameras, calmly flying through the air.
Theories
Given their characteristics, Rods are undoubtedly an anomalous and unknown life form. However, there is also the possibility that they are alien life forms, accidentally introduced by extraterrestrials who have visited our planet throughout history. The hypothesis of alien contamination cannot be dismissed, especially considering the physics and behavior of Rods.
Skepticism
Many skeptics have attempted, unsuccessfully, to dismiss the reality of Rods by comparing them to insects captured with extended exposure times. However, high-quality videos and photos, as well as studies on the subject, show that the skeptics' hypothesis is incompatible with observable data about Rods. Key observations include their extreme flight speed, which surpasses that of any known life form, and their distinct, consistent shape, which differs from anything previously documented.
Rods remain one of the most intriguing and controversial discoveries of modern times, with the potential to reshape our understanding of life and its origins.
