The split of the newsgroup seems to be an advantage for the Top 100.
A few weeks ago the number of voters seemed to have stabilized at around
130 people every week. However, since the split of the group this number
is growing bigger. A possible reason for this is that the chart is now
posted to comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.announce, which has very little traffic.
Anyone who takes a look in this newsgroup won't miss the latest Top 100.
It's probably the reason why I have so many new voters these weeks.
Anyway, I'm glad that the reposting isn't necessary anymore.
I'm also glad that the Net PC Games Top 100 is becoming an important
source of information for many people around the world. The chart has now
been published in two magazines, and two other magazines have asked for
permission to do the same. Maybe someday the Top 100 will be the worlds
number 1 games chart. Yeah, just dreamin'!
Don't hesitate to write me, if you have any ideas for improving the
current presentation of the list. The column containing categories and
the shareware marks are just a few examples of the ideas that some voters
came up with. I'm all eyes.
