Ingredients:
- Chicken breasts: 2 pounds, cooked and shredded (about 900 grams)
- Sour cream: 1 cup (240 mL)
- Cream of chicken soup: 1 can (10.75 ounces or about 305 grams)
- Rotel tomatoes (diced tomatoes with green chilies): 1 can (10 ounces or about 283 grams), drained
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon (5 mL)
- Onion powder: 1 teaspoon (5 mL)
- Cheddar cheese: 2 cups, shredded (about 225 grams)
- Nacho Cheese Doritos: 1 bag (about 11 ounces or 312 grams), lightly crushed
- Green onions: 1/2 cup, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat and prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Mix the filling:
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, drained Rotel tomatoes, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
Layer the casserole:
- Spread half of the crushed Doritos evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the chicken mixture over the Doritos layer.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Finish with the remaining Doritos.
Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
Garnish and serve:
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy the creamy, crunchy goodness!
