Ingredients:
Raspberry Filling:
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp water
2 cups raspberries
Chocolate Cake:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa
2 1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup hot water
Chocolate Frosting:
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
5 tbsp Hersheyβs dark cocoa powder
6 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp salt
10-12 tbsp heavy whipping cream
Chocolate Ganache:
9 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions:
Prepare Raspberry Filling: Combine sugar, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan. Add raspberries and cook until thickened. Chill.
Bake Cakes: Mix dry and wet ingredients separately, then combine with hot water. Bake in prepped pans at 350Β°F for 22-25 minutes.
Make Frosting: Whip butter, blend in melted chocolate and cocoa, then gradually add sugar and cream.
Assemble Cake: Level cakes, layer with ganache and raspberry filling. Frost with chocolate frosting.
Garnish: Drizzle ganache over the cake and decorate with raspberries.
