WinTex 4.1 is currently the only tool available for that. I tested it on the
Hexen demo (my retailer still didn't get Hexen! I'm lost in lamerzland.).
Sorry, but you will have to get used to windoze tools, they are the future
(and a rather gloomy future, I must say). Though, I am still trying to convert
WinTex to a portable GUI (called YACL)

If you have time to waste I can send you the code of deutex. addapting
to hexen is not too hard, but there are stuffs that will never work.
>from as much as I can figure out, Wintex doesn't support Hexen yet anyway.
Version 4.0 doesn't (it supported a 'former' heretic2 version though :)
but version 4.1 beta does.

Uh.... Where can I find WinTex 4.1? I have 4.0, but I haven't seen
4.1 yet... I guess I'll try cd-rom.com.....

Subject: Mod Music in Hexen
It occurred to me today that it might be possible to write a script
that will function as a mod music player in Hexen.... You'd probably need
to cannibalize some sound entries and or make some new ones to hold the
samples, and you'd probably want to write some sort of conversion program
that will convert existing mods to Hexen scripts, but it seems feasible...
It'd be nice to be able to use some good distortion guitars in music for a
change (I hate the awe-32 cheeze guitar patches... Ugh....) You probably
wouldn't want to use it on anything less than a Pentium, but it's still an
interesting idea... Unfortunately, I've only scraped the surface of the
whole Hexen editing scene (just downloaded deep804 and deth/heth, and the
"Official Hexen Specs")....
Anyway, let me know if anyone does anything with this....

Maybe pentagon-shaped? :-)
