Hi!
You wanted to send me Your map3, did you? We talked about it last
weekend I guess. The other map is still NOT here... so if you're
still interested - send it over. We are playtesting A LOT, it's
getting kinda boring... ;)

Does anyone know which Hexen musics go to which stage? Once again, they used
stupid names that have no correlation to what stage they're from. I kinda
liked D_E1M1...no guessing games there.

Have run into a problem w/ DoomCAD 7.0 w/ Hexen support...
I migrated the DoomCAD code from Visual Basic 3.0 to 4.0 while coding
dCAD 7.0. VB4.0 has some great features that easily allowed me to
make DoomCAD a 'true' MDI interface: that is, you can now have several
maps open at once (great for Hexen editing)
My problem is this: the MINIMUM amount of support files needed for the
simplest VB 4.0 program total 5 MEG in size!! Add in the Jet engine (DBF
reading) support, and that number goes up to 9 MEG!!!. After compression,
a 4+ meg ZIP is kind of prohibitive for shareware distribution.
I'm looking for a shareware distributor willing to distribute DoomCAD.
If anyone out there is willing to do so, I'll agree that they will be the
exclusive distributor.
Any interested parties, please contact me.

There is an entry in HEXEN.WAD called SNDINFO
It is a plain-ASCII text file that contains lines like:
KoraxSight korsit
KoraxActive koract
That defines "aliases" for sound names.
It (at the end) contains lines like:
$MAP 1 Winnowr
$MAP 2 Jachr
That means for map1 play the entry Winnowr
for map2, play Jachr. If you think about it hexen really is more structred
than doom. It allows for a much larger scale of expandability, since much
more is contained in the wad, ie, which textures are scrolling, how fast
which direction, etc.
