Subject: HCK Problems

Yeah, I know it's a beta release, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something
here. Here are my questions:

- -How do insert a vertex? In the old DCK all you'd have to do is double
click on a line. Now that starts a new line drawing thingy.

- -Sometimes when I run a map, Hexen kicks me out when it tries to load the
map. Leaves the screen with huge letters and what looks like the registries
(ax,bc etc.)

Here are some bugs that have already been reported, but maybe not

- -Sometimes textures and flats don't show up in the selection window

- -Pressing Alt-E to pull down the edit window starts the motif selector.
Does this for other menus too.

With all these problems I've been having, HCK is a hell of a lot better than
everything else out there. Check will be in the mail when I stop playing
Hexen and go out into the real world and get some cash.

The find-game mistake is still there! I'm using the 4-level demo,
(look, I'll have Hexen in 16 days. :) and I have to tell it every
single time it lives at C:\hexen. Doh!

Also, if you choose save, it still saves a file as UNTITLED.WAD.
I must choose save as.

Small error: In the options for game dialog, you list different
diffuclities every single time, and sometimes, the name goes into
the class part of the dialog. Oops.

The status bar is too big. <--- Design bug

I hate how you have the line lenghts on the lines instead of on the
status bar. When making small lines, (<32 to 48), you can't see the line.

Make it a option to list what directory your node-builder lives.

Also, make it an option to run a co-op or DM game when testing, since
most Hexen wads will make good co-op wads, and most Doom wads are now
DM.

That's just off the top of my head. I'll be back I a few days.

Does anyone know who created these original graphics?
I haven't been able to find any credit to them ANYWHERE.
I'd love to get my hands on the models so I can make some
new sprites for some new aliens I have planned, as well as
more perspectives.

I'm making Aliens vs Predator, and I'd like to know
how to edit the palettes in Doom (playpal and colormap
lumps). I have a modified playpal someone else made
for a cheat wad, so I know it could be done! I'd love
to have a patch for Predator play that would have totally
different screen colors that change when you pick up
a cloak (invisibility sphere), an infrared visor (visor),
etc. Anyone know HOW?
