Subject: Acceptable Submissions to TWC - The Wad Crew 

Hello everyone,  

    Dark Shadow once again with a couple of rules.  Since I first  
posted about TWC on this and other mailing lists and newsgroups, I've  
had a lot of feedback and I would like to thank you greatly.  However,  
there are some rules that must be followed.  TWC does not take any  
wads; they are expected to be top-quality.  Thus, a couple of rules: 

 
1.  All wads submitted to TWC MUST FOLLOW the following format: 

    A. Compressed with PKUNZIP. 
    B. Zip file M U S T  include: 

            SHIZNITZ.WAD (your wad / wads) 
            SHIZNITZ.DOC (A TEXT FILE, IN WAD AUTHOR'S TEMPLATE FORMAT) 
            SHIZNITZ.LMP (A recording showing the user around, optional 

    C. YOU MUST tell us what your alias is...or what you want to be  
    known by.  This helps with the contributors list, it gets long with 
    addresses like cmadsasdml@vfvkdlv.bgbdfvsf.vfbgbbkb.net, etc.  
    Again, this is optional. 

2.  ALL WADS SUBMITTED TO TWC MUST BE ORIGINAL, NEVER-BEFORE  
DISTRIBUTED WADS.  WE DO NOT RE-DISTRIBUTE WADS. 

    I've gotten a lot of mail that sez, "This wad was distributed on 40  
newsgroups but never caught on."  WE ARE NOT DISTRIBUTORS - WE ARE  
CREATORS.  YOUR SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ORIGINAL WORK.  Whether or not it's  
a mod of some other wad doesn't make a diff - the mods have to be  
yours, however. 

3.  When you send mail to me with your wad attached, YOU MUST USE THE  
FOLLOWING SUBJECT: 

    TWC SUBMISSION FOR (the month)...In the mail, attach the ZIPPED  
FILE, and a note about it or any comments you choose to make. 

    You might think I'm being an ass about this, but we get a lot of  
submissions, and it helps us A LOT if you can do this tiny thing for  
us.  The Mail subject headers are because all of us are swamped with  
mail from several mailing lists, and if you don't put the header in  
there, it might never get noticed! :)
