Hello all-
i have not sent a letter to this group for nearly 4 months! I read the
notice that begginer questions goto so and so and I just want to post
something. What are your favorite doom authors? My personal favorite is
George Fiffy. His levels seem to be perfect, and know he is working with
Mark Klem from all the MK levels. Their shit is awesome. If you want to see
their levels I'll get them to you just ask!-but I want a trade
Thanks-
Hope this goes up on the newsgroup!!

The command line switches are:
- -class <n>, where class 0=fighter
1=cleric
2=mage
- -randclass : be reborn as a randomly selected class each time you
die! IMHO, the best option for deathmatch since you
can utilize all the weapons. It's a blast!
Note that with Ifrag, you'll have to call a response file for each
player when you load Ifrag.exe, since the new parameters aren't
recognized as valid Ifrag commands. For example, the server may
type:
ifrag -server -notrack @death.rsp
where death.rsp contains just -randclass or -class n. Works like a
charm... Watch out for that porkulator!

When I first found out about this group, all I got was DOOM-editing =
stuff. Now, all I'm getting is 'Hexen-Editing', and I was not informed =
about the changein editing formats.
Does anyone else have this feeling.
And, Wha's up wit' 'dat .

as the person who originaly started this mailing list and ran it for
over half a year, i considered all games that are based on the original
doom engine (doom 2, heretic, hexen, strife but not quake) on topic for
this mailing list.
if the current trend goes towards towards editing hexen files instead
of doom, i wouldn't mind it being discussed there.
maybe the current caretakers of this list can voice their opinion on
this matter too.

Hexen editing is fair game.
1) it's a game that is here (mostly) now.
2) it has doom-like crap that is hackable and therefore must be hacked.
3) People have figured out most of Doom and Heretic, and need something
new, yet similar.
Now go away and figure out what the extra short in the linedef structure is
for, or find me the thing codes for the superweapon components.
