I didn't follow this thread, but in Obituary we did it just graphically,
doubled the sound (so it would shoot twice) and gave the pistol a bit
more repeat-speed. This may be not the best way, but it worked well.
Ah and btw, obtic11.zip. :)

Alright DooM Guru's heres a simple one.
Can I use DEHACKED to change the player into a cyberdeom or do I have to
copy the cyber graphics over the players... Thank you! If anyone has done
it, let me know!
As Always, Private Email shall be sufficient if this question is retarded.
Again, thanks!

Someone has done it, susposedly, it's called Cyber.wad and it's at cdrom. I
dont know wether it works or not (I havent tried it with another player yet)
but it probably does, and it will save you from having to dehack it. Lets
see, I think the dir is pub/idstuff/doom2/graphics but dont quote me on that

Subject: Demos
I was wondering what I might do to get demos into my wads? I have been
pondering the situation for a while... and i'm not sure how to do it. I
don't want to make a batch file that does it... but if i must... i will. Is
there anyway possible to do this? Please let me know... thanx --Jon Skeels

This "changing-player-into-creature" question is very popular, I think
I'm going to have to write up a how-to on it for the next DeHackEd
release. Anyways, it is very simple.
Go to the Frame editor (F3) and change the Sprite Number of frames
149-173 (those are all of the Player frames). The Sprite Number is the
third column from the left, they should start out as 28, change them all
to 49. You will also need to match up the next column over, the Sprite
Sub-numbers... The player has sub-numbers all the way up to 22, whereas
the Cyberdemon only goes up to 15. This would make Doom crash, so you
will need to play around with them so that you actually get a picture of
the cyberdemon firing when the player would be firing, etc. Not too
tricky. Also watch for the Player Height, since the Cyber's picture is
much taller.
I've played deathmatch with several monster pics, including mancubus,
arachnotron, cacodemon, and even a brief bout with the spiderdemon. It's
pretty hilarious :).

record the.LMP file and from there, it depends on what editor you are using.
I reccommend NWT, or DEUTEX (if you are one of those compiler-lovers)
With NWT, just name the resource DEMO1 (or DEMO2, DEMO3) and insert the
LMP file as a RAW file.

As with every question dealing with Dehacked --
why not simply try it and find out what happens?
