I don't think I'll even have to fire up doom to answer this one. NO!
In order to activate a switch you usualy press the spacebar... but that
will resurect you. You might be able to activate a tripwire switch
though. Should be worth a try.

That's sort of like when you have several player one starts and shoot the
clones in uneven order. Except in that case you are dead, and you can
use space, whatever to open doors and so on.

Subject: A dehacked puzzle...
Whilst learning to use dehacked a long time ago, I found out a vaugely
interesting something that I am now desperate to find out more about;
changing the player height. When I lowered the player height, the height
from which bullets were fired lowered, and the player could fit through
lower areas, the viewpoint did not change (except in low passages). When I
raised the height, the viewpoint raised as well, and higher passages were
needed to manouver. I was using Doom version 1.2
My problem - I have come up with a great idea that involves this, I am
finally in a position to do something about it, and the effect has
dissapeared, only the bullet height and getting stuck in low ceilings
remain, and this isn't enough for what I need. I am using Doom version 1.666
Does anyone know what has happened? Is it the doom version? Is it the
later version of dehacked? Any ideas on how to create this effect in
1.666 and above?
It's almost worth going back to 1.2 for...
Thanks

This is not a bug, but a feature which is required for E1M8. This special
sector type resets the "God mode", although it does not affect the
invulnerability hat you can get from a sphere.
You can use this feature in your own WADs: in some places where the player
has to run (for example, a chasm where the player is surrounded by monsters),
insert a small sector with this special type. Since the player will only run
over it, the sector will not do any damage. But if the player is in God mode,
this mode will be disabled (without any health loss, unless the player stands
there). Having these sectors in various places should not change the game for
people who play fair, because the sectors are small and you don't loose any
health if you run over them. But if the player is a cheater, then he will be
in trouble because the God mode will be disabled every now and then. He he...
Of course, people who are used to cheat will hate such WADs, because they
won't be able to play they as they want...

Yes you can survive with that cheat but you have to be a REALLY fast typist.

Yes you can do it using that method but you have to be a REALLY fast typist....
