DoomEd and DoomCAD can both be found on FTP.CDROM.COM... DoomEd
Deluxe is the best one. I cant remember the exact file name, but its
something like RGDOOMED and DoomCAD is DMCAD51.ZIP... Hope that helps! And
thanks!

Have you edited your doom2.exe file? There are a few programs out which
modify the exe file and make it so you can't upgrade, eg. DM2CHNST.EXE -
This program makes the shotgun as fast as the Machine gun.. hope this helps..
You could try copying over your current exe file with one on disk.

Great! Where can I find DM2CONV.ZIP?

If i bought it, Id rather have a new pwad then new ending text, etc...
They should have made TFC a PWAD IMO for compatibility.

you can insert as many frames as you wish between
the two EXTREMITIES of the animation, like xxxx1 and
xxxx4 for instance. look at TRINITY.WAD and the
MOVIExx textures.
Or use WinTex and it will tell you which textures are
extremities of anmations.

I am currently using Edmap and will get a texture not found error as I am trying to test my
WAD. As far as I know, I am not using Doom I textures in Doom2 as I haven't applied any
new textures except Startran2 and Bigdoor. Has anyone had this problem and how can I fix
it? Thanks in advance :-(

I saw The Ultimate Doom on one of the aisle islands at the local Media
Play. No way in hell I'm paying $25 for one lousy extra episode with HOM.
Somebody run those levels through a consistency checker and see what
the problems are. I don't understand why the id guys can't run one of the
free editors for 30 minutes to nail down the errors.

There are a two or three Doom ][ patches. As I understand it, you first
need to upgrade from 1.666 to 1.7a. The patch which does this has three
options, each corresponding to different 1.666 releases. You have to check
the Doom2.exe date (listed in you directory) to determine which one to use.
Then you can upgrade from 1.7a to 1.9. Check the text files for each patch
before downloading and patching.

The book is for those who create levels with info for creating levels,
changing graphics, sounds etc. It is fairly comprehensive with 900 pages of
text. Included with the book is a CD with a bunch of wads and different
editing tools for levels, graphics, sounds etc. i.e. an all encompassing
package. However the campany stated that the shareware utils on the cd were
registered version but of course many are not and there are missing files
from the cds. There won't be a patch for the cd but they may have a
replacement cd for the registered owners.

Anyone have a copy of this book that they are willing to sell for around
$20? A friend of mine is looking for a copy of it and would like to
get it at a reduced price. So if you are interested send me some e-mail
and I will notify him and we will see what we can do.

I am curious why you would spend $20.00 for just the book, when you could
have the book and the accompanying cd for around $30.00. I just picked it up
about a month ago for $29.95. I picked mine up at Software Etc., and unlike
the person who has recently posted messages regarding a faulty cd, I have had
no problem with the cd whatsoever.
