Subject: New textures

Is it possible to add textures to a wad without overwriting an existing
texture? And if it is possible, what editors can easily support texture
wads? (email me the answer to the 2nd question, please, everyone has
already seen enough editor-wars here already, and I don't want to start
another one off.)

DMapEdit can deal with external textures in PWAD without problems. All
the new textures will appear in the texture picklist so you can select
them. Also, and probably most importantly, DMapEdit won't overwrite your
new textures when you save a map to the PWAD. I don't really know if any
of the editors out there will actually wipe them out, but there's concern
from some people about this, so there probably is. Mainly external node
builders, though, I think. Later..
