DOOM Programmers,
Sams Publishing would like to include your quality DOOM utilities, editors, WADs, PWADs, and other DOOM-related software on the CD-ROM which will accompany our upcoming book, "Tricks of the DOOM Programming Gurus", written by a collection of DOOM gurus. Including your software will give you and your programs considerable exposure to our international audience of Doom programmers. Full credit will be given in the book to each contributor whose software is included.
I will need your most current tested version immediately if you want to participate. Send me a simple e-mail message stating your name and mailing address, all phone/fax numbers, program name, version number, a short paragraph description, and the best place to get it on-line (Internet, CompuServe, AOL, etc.). If the software is not available on-line, contact me and we will arrange another way. Please indicate if your software supports DOOM(c), DOOM ][(c), and/or Heretic(c). NOTE: We cannot publish an
WAD or PWAD files that contain copyrighted materials, such as sound clips or characters from TV shows or movies.
You'll find our simple permission form following this message. If you wish to participate, please fill out the information and sign it. You can forward the completed form to me via fax (preferably) or US Mail.
To be considered for this project, you need to contact me as soon as possible. The absolute deadline for receiving your software is March 20, 1995.
Thank you,
Tim Wilson

Those are at Id. "Tricks of the WAD hacking gurus" might be appropriate, depending on the
contributors. Note the resemblance to "Tricks of the Game Programming Gurus".

A matter of course.

Means, any works ever.

Usually, major contributions are honored by free sample copies.

You'll have to pay the lawyer.

Impossible to do.
