Is there any way that I can recieve all (yes all) of the past Doom editing
Digest's?

Also, A question for All you Doom/Heretic/Quake people out there, If
there was a monthy publication of a Doom Related magazine which contained
nothing but info on Doom/Heretic/Quake and ID software + other 1st person
perspective games. Would you subscribe to it? the reason for this question
is beacuse a few dozen people I know are looking to invest in something just
like that, and they would like to know what kind of support it would recieve.
Thanks.

Tom Mustaine

Also, Has anybody heard anything about this "Doom Movie"????

Speaking of Doomed, what is the latest version? I have 2.60b, and it is
very buggy.

DoomGate is about to officially go on line with many services which will
equal those of real world magazie type publications. There will be
an official announcement posted all over the place over the next two days.
I guess you can call it a sneak preview... ;-)

doomgate.cs.buffalo.edu is where it all begins....

I've had much better luck with the 260 beta 2 than the beta 4
The Ver 3 alpha 8 is real cool, but you'll need to run bsp from command line
Also ver 3 alpha 8 can be used for Doom II using a things.def file available
in the same directory on the following ftp site.. here you'll need a map
converter too..
look on ftp.cdrom.com in /pub/doom/wad_edit/editors

How about making a Doom to Doom 2 conversion utility that actually
changes monsters from Doom to monsters from Doom 2. You could have a
matrix that would correspond to similar monster difficulty in each of the
games.

For example, it would convert half the shotgun guys to Heavy Metal dudes,
maybe convert Cacodemons to Cacodemons and Hell Knights. You could set
it up too so that the user could edit a text file to select which
monsters to substitute (I personally find pain elementals and archviles
to be unfair).

I have a lot of ideas, but not much programming ability.

It's already been done: dm2convert (dm2conv.zip /pub/doom2/wad_editors/misc)

You can do this on the command line or via "response file." It works
well; it's only limitations are that it doesn't change the names of
added music files and it doesn't rename the demos (demo1 => olddemo1)
like wad1to2b does.
