Yeah
Between the brown and the green are 32 shades of grey, no indigo in sight.
Is this because I have the 1.2 playpal? I am at a loss.

Sorry. (I)ndigo is the "name" of the black == dark grey player
(see string "gibr" in the EXE). For chat macros: as (B) is already
used for (B)rown, (G) for (G)reen, id probably renamed the
black/grey player to indigo == dark purple, which is approx. black.
Of course, I haven't seen the PLAYPAL colors, and haven't compared
them to those in a PCX screenshot of a black player. Read: I myself
haven't confirmed the info I quoted ;-).

Subject: Weekly reminder: beginners' questions
This message is being posted at the request of the list caretaker:
The purpose of this list is to discuss *advanced* DOOM editing techniques.
In order to keep it that way, if you have a question but don't know whether
it's advanced or not, mail it in the first instance to:
Steve Benner : S.Benner@lancaster.ac.uk
Your question will either be answered or, if deemed suitable, forwarded to
the list. This is offered as a potential red-face saving and
list-annoyance abatement service. Feel free to send questions at any level
on any topic of WAD editing. If your questions are prefixed with the code
WQ: (for 'WAD query') in the subject field (e.g. Subject: WQ: Sprites),
they will be processed quicker.
This reminder will be posted here weekly, with the same subject title.

Take a look at playpal.gif in /pub/staff/thoth/ on ftp.cis.ufl.edu.
I haven't seen much of multi-player myself. I have a dedicated modem line,
though :)

ftp.orst.edu. It should be found in NEWSTUFF ......eventually. :) I'll
also put it on wuarchive once it's back up (backed up? :) ) and ftp.uwp.edu.
Perhaps you could upload it to one of the DOOM BBS's for those without FTP.
These are FREE BBS's at least in the sense they will allow downloads right
away, unlike Software Creations.

I'm sure there are others serving the cause but these are the one's I'm aware

Heh, Good point. I forgot all about that special german version. Guess
I'll have to change things around a little with my editor then. Thanx for
reminding me of this. Later..

Cool idea: if exist (map1-map30) and not exist (map30,map31) then load
"German Version"
