Please don't reply to this message over the news group -- I'm sure no one
needs to hear it but me!
My question is: does anyone know when deu 5.3 is coming out? A few weeks ago
the word was "A few weeks from now." That's my question. If you don't like
it, please write back personally. Thanks.

Actually, lots of people need to hear it. :)

Sorry, I don't know. But I do know what needs to be done.
- - Raphael needs to finish restructuring the code (each file will have its
own .h file, possibly better formatting, etc, etc) for compatability
reasons.
- - Any patches that are unfinished must be finished. I am under the impression
that everything that will go into the release is already done, but I might
have forgotten something.
- - I personally must finish redoing the node builder user-interface. I've
made all of the neccesary internal additions for dialog boxes. All thats
left is the actual interface. Hopefully I will finish tonight.
And if anyone on the team has some free time and is motived, they will try
and rewrite the 256 color to 16 color translation routines (my second crack
at the routine worked as well as the first.) Oh, BTW, no more switching to
320x200 mode if you don't have SVGA. It just translates the palette to a
16 color approximation and draws in 640x480 mode. If worse comes to worse,
I'll just manaully decide which colors should be translated where.
How long will this take to do?
Well, lets pretend this is a perfect world. Everyone has no other job than
DEU and we just sit down and do the coding work. The code itself would
take 3 days and we'd beta test for 4 more days. So 1 week. So I have no
idea. :)

I am astuck on level 12 in Doom II. Where is the exit? I have a yellow
keycard but am unable to find a door to use it on.
