I was just reading some doom news group (anounce) and there
was a post stating that use of patches for the doom.exe file
is not allowed. This was supposedly from Jay Wilber to the
author of deutex (not sure though). Can anyone confirm this?
There seems to be no crack down on the patches, so what gives?

You're not actually meant to have it. In the meantime, best not to
distribute it.
