Subject: Butterfly valves

Phase,

Let me assure you, these are real, live butterfly valves. I've got two
of them sitting in front of me. They came from Milwaukee Valve. Here's
the data sheet for them; they're called butterball valves, BB2-100:
http://www.milwaukeevalve.com/data/pdf/BB2.%20rev1.pdf

What I'm going to use it for is to modulate an LP gas line into a
burner for my 55-gal kettle with an actuator and a positioner on the
control panel.

Now, for some specifics--for water use, 120*F is the max. These things
are really designed for cold water, but especially gas and combustable
gas.

harlan.

Subject: Building a brewing career

For those brewers considering taking any of our courses this fall,
please remember that you need to register soon in order to assure a seat
in our Siebel Institute & World Brewing Academy courses. Our last two
WBA Diploma Program sessions & their individual modules sold out months
in advance of the course dates, so if you want to get in on these
programs PLEASE don't wait too long to register.

If you would like to learn how to prepare for our courses (and prepare
for a career in brewing), please feel free to contact me at
klemcke at siebelinstitute.com so I can assist you in building a study
path. I can suggest some great textbooks to help you build your
commercial-level brewing knowledge as well as help you decide whether a
career in brewing is right for you.

Keith Lemcke
Vice-President

Siebel Institute of Technology &
World Brewing Academy
