Why does ancient art contain depictions of planes, helicopters, and dinosaurs?
Although contemporary archeology believes it can comprehensively explain humanity's evolutionary and cultural path, many controversial findings seem to disprove the commonly accepted version. Once again, here are some ancient depictions that seem to defy the conventional chronology of human history.
The history of our planet is much more complex than most people are willing to admit. According to the commonly accepted version of history, ancient man was a very simple creature with extremely limited knowledge. However, much to those who promote this version of history, archaeologists continue to dig up objects and depictions that contradict it.
The truth is that there is a huge amount of evidence attesting to the intellectual success of the ancient world, with some artifacts being true technological marvels. Certainly it is ancient Egypt that offers the most disconcerting legacy of humanity's evolved past, and certainly the first structure that comes to mind is the Great Pyramid of Giza.
It is a structure so impressive and built with such precision that modern technology is only now beginning to catch up with it. Although we have the illusion that we could have built something similar today if we wanted, modern man has never actually built anything similar. But the Great Pyramid is not the only example of advanced technology we find in Egypt.
The discovery of some hieroglyphic carvings in the Egyptian temple of Abydos caused a sensation.
To the modern human eye, the hieroglyphics appear to describe what appear to be modern-era aircraft. The discovery has been the subject of great controversy among Egyptologists and archaeologists, who are unsure what the signs at Abydos mean. On the other hand, how could people who lived 3 thousand years be able to represent a modern aircraft?
When Dr. Ruth Hover and her husband took a trip to the pyramids and temples of Egypt, they were shocked when they noticed hieroglyphics in the temple of Abydos. The strange depictions were hidden by a more recent overlay panel with other hieroglyphs. When the panel crumbled, the oldest layer emerged where it was possible to see these strange carvings.
Our eyes glimpse what appears to be a modern helicopter, a submarine, an alien and another unknown type of aircraft (some believe it resembles the Hinderburg). It could be pareidolias, of course! But if the ancient Egyptians did not want to depict aircraft, then what do the strange carvings represent. And, above all, why had they been hidden by a more recent panel, and by whom? How to explain these puzzles? At the moment, that doesn't seem to be possible.
Dinosaurs in ancient times?
Paleontology teaches that dinosaurs became extinct about 65 million years ago, perhaps following a meteorite impact that seriously compromised the habitat of these fascinating creatures of the past. This information alone would be enough to confirm that humans could never have encountered them. The discovery of the existence of dinosaurs, in fact, is an achievement of the modern era, obtained thanks to fossil discoveries brought to light starting from 1800.
Yet, some strange depictions suggest that men of the past were aware of the existence of the mammoth creatures. The most emblematic example is offered by a stone carving located on the Buddhist temple of Ta Prohm, in Cambodia, which has become known as the "Stegosaurus of Ta Prohm".
According to archaeologists, Ta Prohm Temple dates back around 800 years. So how is it possible that ancient Cambodians knew about dinosaurs, given that the first fossils were dug up only a couple of hundred years ago? Yet, that engraving stands there, determined to boldly challenge our paleontological acquisitions.
Where our ancestors smarter than us?
In short, someone is trying to convince us that our ancestors who lived thousands of years ago were clumsy fools who could barely build mud huts and cover their genitals with straw skirts.
The truth is that human history is much more complex and less linear than one might imagine. There are monolithic structures all over the planet that are standing despite the passage of thousands of years: they are there to remind us of how the great civilizations of the past were in possession of amazing technologies that once thrived.
In reality, we are the ones who are becoming increasingly stupid, despite technology. As Albert Einstein prophetically said: "I fear the day when technology will surpass our humanity: the world will then be populated by a generation of idiots." The proof is provided by a study published by a biology professor at Stanford University, in which he concludes that over the last millennia humanity has become increasingly stupid, and the process does not seem to be stopping.
Therefore, perhaps we should think of ourselves not quite as superior to the men of antiquity. Every day we learn that our ancestors were physically and mentally superior to us in many ways.
