Re: pomace seedlings

Is there any data or experience in growing from seed versus grafting -
specifically whether or not the seedlings naturalize better and will be
more likely to thrive in regions that maybe are not perfectly suited to
growing apples?

Thank you,

Anybody have favorite vids of mill operations that they could post links
to? I work in a mid sized mill and we're getting in a lot of strp-picked
fruit with lots of budwood attached, as well as grass laden drops. I'm
particularly interested in seeing how other people deal with debris
removal. Our grinder can handle it, I'm more concerned with the ability of
the washer to do its job.

Autumn, thanks for the advice about perry pears, I did blend them in even
though brown and now I'm glad.
Pome and stone fruit seeds will grow even after being fermented. I grew a
large patch by throwing out many 5 gallon buckets of lees and used some of
them for rootstock. I called them "mi plantancitos de barrachas" (little
drunken seedlings).
