I am looking for a batch pasteurization unit that can pasteurize 300-500
12oz. bottles that have been filled with hard cider and capped. I found a
unit on a post that had a system made in Australia, called Brewtique. I
contacted them a few times through email but have not gotten a response.
My question is- does anyone know who could make something like this in the
states? Here is a photo from the post.
Thanks,
Ian

As the years roll on, I note various milestones in the Cider Digest (and my
connection with it). The Digest has been running for over 23 years.
Let's face it, the Digest is getting long in the tooth. In the age of
social media--Twitter, Facebook, and the rest, plus blogging, the Digest is
slogging. It's still the same old last-millennium batched email.
A few of us have discussed how to modernize the Digest, but we haven't come
up with anything that doesn't throw out the baby with the bath-water.
So anyway, here we are at Digest 1953 and the milestone of issue 2000 isn't
that far off. Is it time to let the Cider Digest wind down, stop at 2000?
By then the Digest will be 24 years old--older than a fair number of its
readers. With few exceptions the discussions are the same-old. The same
questions have been asked again and again, each one answered many times
(sometimes right:-). It wouldn't be abrupt; 43 issues is plenty of time to
coast to a stop. And perhaps the Cider Digest is occupying an "ecological
niche" for cider information without adequately meeting the need. With the
Digest out of the way, perhaps some more energetic medium could fill that
niche.
Why not let the Cider Digest go quietly into that long night? Why continue
to pretend that it's anything but a doddering relic?
