Oh Al. You need to prefilter with pads to at least the same rating as the
membrane you're running to. I often have to run perry through a .2um nominal
pad to get it to go through a .45 absolute membrane. Also, some particles
can be soft and squishy and deformable - they squeeze through the pad only
to flatten themselves against the membrane. That crud usually needs to be
fined out first.
