Chocolate Tiramisu π«β¨

Ingredients:
- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
- 24 ladyfingers
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions:
- In a heatproof bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well combined.
- Place the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In another bowl, beat heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth.
- In a shallow dish, combine brewed coffee and coffee liqueur.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them.
- Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Before serving, sift cocoa powder over the top of the tiramisu.
- Slice and serve chilled.
