Dulce de Leche Banana Cake ππ°

3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dulce de leche
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Dulce de leche, for drizzling (optional)
Sliced bananas, for garnish (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Add the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the dulce de leche over the batter and swirl it with a knife.
Add the remaining batter on top, followed by the rest of the dulce de leche. Swirl again with a knife.
If using, sprinkle chopped walnuts over the top of the batter.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, drizzle additional dulce de leche over the top and garnish with sliced bananas if desired.
