Chocolate Marbled Cake with Caramelized Walnuts π«π°

Servings: Makes 1 loaf cake
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup hot water
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream and milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder and hot water until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon half of the cocoa mixture on top and swirl with a knife.
- Top with the remaining batter and spoon the remaining cocoa mixture on top. Swirl again with a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
