Easy Chocolate Raspberry Shortbread Bars π«π°

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup raspberry jam
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Remove the pan from the oven and spread the raspberry jam evenly over the crust.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) over the raspberry jam layer.
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the chocolate is melted.
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
