1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups caramel sauce
1 1/2 quarts vanilla ice cream

Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Press half of the cookie dough into the bottom of the prepared pan in an even layer.
Pour the caramel sauce over the cookie dough layer, spreading it out evenly.
Scoop the vanilla ice cream over the caramel layer, spreading it out into an even layer.
Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough over the ice cream layer, pressing them down gently.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cookie dough is golden brown and set.
Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares or rectangles.
