1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
Place the pie crust in a pie dish and crimp the edges as desired.
In a saucepan, combine the drained crushed pineapple, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Pour the pineapple filling into the prepared pie crust.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
