Yes Peggy I will be posting my review in the ASK_UFO echo after it runs in
the next issue. That issue will be back from the printer this week. I had Bob
and Gene Huff on my show on KIEV about a month and a half ago, and when all
this is put together for the new show on national cable radio, I hope in the
next couple of weeks, I will have Lazar and Huff back.

That's a very interesting tract from the Meier notes. It will be more
interesting if it can be shown conclusively that there was no mention of a
danger from ozone depletion in any texts available in 1975. However, somehow I
think I've read somewhere that it has been theorized for some time, and that
it's just now getting to the level of public knowledge.
Also, it would be a helluva lot more useful if Semjase had given us some way
out of the problem...but of course they're just here to inspire and guide, not
instruct...

Regarding the ozone layer:
When the sattelites went up to examine the upper atmosphere, they discovered
the ozone depletion around the south pole. However, with little knowledge of
upper air currents and expected ozone level results, many scientists decided
that the problem was an anomoly with the equipment and not (I repeat NOT) a
hole in the ozone. It existed and was measured, but was ignored for lack of
experience with the layer. However, some scientists persisted, insisting that
the sattelite had just done what it was expected to do - detect anomolies in
the atmosphere. After many years of extensive study, they determined that this
is exactly what happened. Recently, another hole in the ozone was discovered
over the Northern Hemisphere.
As a side-note: We are not talking about a hole in the ozone at all, but a
depletion of ozone in a particular area. This is not to down-play the danger;
to the contrary, it is to offer hope that if an immediate reduction in CFC use
worldwide is implemented, the destruction can be halted. However, it must be
noted that things are getting progressively worse - either last year or the
year before (I don't have the information in front of me) when the Southern
Hemisphere summer began and the "hole" was "closed", a peice of it "broke off",
not unlike a bubble, and floated over the continent of Australia, where it
slowly depleted, over the course of a week I think.
(end side-note)

Yesterday I saw an ABC news report on an anonymous family in California who
claim that they're visited by aliens every night. The aliens probe them
with beams of light, sometimes right through the ceiling of the house while
the family is awake. They made drawings of the ships and they look fairly
complex, with rows of lights or jets on the bottom. They also have
videotape of them, but the videotape just shows large, pale circular
lights. As a telescope owner, I'm nearly certain it's way out of focus
(like part of the Scranton tape was) and possibly insufficiently bright as
well -- would someone please buy these guys a low-light camera and show
them how to use it? Or a floodlight? (The report even mentioned that
people claim the tape is a camera effect, though they didn't offer any
explanation of what lights were responsible for it.) On the other hand,
the lights move independently of each other and change brightness.
Afterwards, the local news anchor mentioned the obvious question: Why
didn't the news crew stick around until nighttime?

Hi Don,
Thanks for taking time to reply on this. I know you're very busy and
I appreciate it. Just picked up the new issue of UFO Magazine
yesterday -- Newsland has it! -- and am enjoying your report. (Just
started it, not finished yet.) Will the Mel Noel piece be in the

You mentioned national cable radio. I haven't heard this on
any of the stations I usually tune in and wondered if you could give
me an idea where to find it (available in Denver?), if you have
a moment sometime. Or if you could suggest someone else to ask
about this, that'd be helpful too.
Are tapes of your KIEV broadcasts available? I'd like to
hear the Lazar and Huff bits.
Thanks again for the info!

This report is very unreliable at this point, and is being further checked out
by Vlad Godic of UFORA and Brian Evans.
Brian reported that on Saturday, February 22, several witnesses, in the tens,
observed two flying disk-shaped objects in the morning hours in a suburb of
Melbourne Australia. The disks performed very unusual maneuvers and sped off.
The objects were captured on videotape and were aired over the ABC (Australian
Broadcast Network). According to Brian, the video shot of the objects shows
them clearly and without a doubt to be disk-shaped. Further, the photos, if
real, may be the best documentation of UFOs yet.
More follows...

Mark,
I received the following reply from Dick Haines re: the Dec 24/25
date discrepancy I previously asked you about in his "Encounter
over Siberia" article in _IUR_. I thought you and the others on
this echo might find his comments of interest.
..................................................................
Dear Sheldon,
Thank you for your letter of 3 February and your interest in my
recent article "Encounter over Siberia". You raised some questions
and here is some information related to them. I spoke with Mr.
Kuzmin at length in his own language at Novosibirsk about the date
of his sighting. I asked if he had kept a flight log as most pilots
do and he said "yes". He promised to look it up when time
permitted; he also indicated that he remembered noting this event
in it. My paper went to the journal with the intent to correct the
date when I learned it, but otherwise to not hold the paper up. I
have not yet heard from Russia the exact date but hope to one day.
We spoke at some length (also) about his skin rash symptomology. He
did not see an M.D. for fear that his physician would revoke his
flying license and he was getting near to his retirement age. It is
obvious that you know something of the cellular changes that
accompany microwave radiation interaction with human skin. I was
struck by Mr. Kuzmin's intensity of personal/ psychological/
emotional involvement as he spoke of this skin rash. To me, he had
been neither psychologically nor intellectually. unprepared for
such an event as this. He was really worried whether it would go
away in time, and he was somewhat ashamed that it had happened at
all. Nevertheless, he answered all of my questions (as far as I can
tell) and did so without hesitation. I am still of the opinion that
he was telling the truth.
I asked him about what industry and other social activities were
going on below him and the spot where the aerial object was seen.
I had done some research on the greater Chelyabinsk region and had
learned of its long-standing nuclear industry, etc. What if his
skin rash had not been produced by the aerial object at all, but by
some beam weapon on the ground which entered the cockpit canopy
during inverted loops? Of course I did not comment on this in my
brief paper but it is still a possibility. If true, this idea
raises many more questions than it answers and I will drop the
matter here, not knowing your background or interest in the topic.
Perhaps this will fill in a few gaps for you. Thanks for your
interest. For your (possibly related) information, we have now
organized the "Joint American-Soviet Aerial Anomaly Federation"
(JASAAF), and have the participation of many groups.

That's *really* strange John, because I also received this x-ray
reverse print from Steve, and mine exhibits a lateral view of the
lower abdomen, vertebrae, and pelvic area. The object with the six
"legs" appears to be in line with the upper pelvis, possibly near
the spleen, although this can not be determined conclusively
through this single view. It is certain however that the object is
nowhere near the esophagus or trachea, which is not even visible!
Perhaps Steve sent us different photos???

Ah-HA! That must explain the X-ray I got in the mail from Steve Jones. He
sent it to me along with a note explaining that it was the X-ray he was
talking about on FIDO UFO. Well, due to financial difficulties (as usual), I
have not been on FIDO UFO for a while, and didn't know what he was talking
about. I saw the black dot, and I don't know what it is, but then I don't
know the first thing about reading an X-ray. As far as working on an X-ray
that showed something that turned out to be a brooch, ...not me. Must be

not turned out to be a brooch.
I sent Steve a postcard, hopefully he'll be getting back to me with some
details.

Amen....this has been the most difficult thing for me to overcome about UFO's
and being able to accept them from another planet. In my Christian belifes, I
have always found it perplexing that there was no mention of people or being
from other planets, it dose however, talk to demons, etc. Satan was called
the Prince of the Air. Having power to cloud minds and be deceptive, it has
always been in the back of my mind, this is what the UFO's are really. I have
tried to temper my feelings about this with the possibility of there being
UFO's from ".....out there." Your comments echo my feelings and are a great

Oh? And when did they prove that flying saucers really exist? Your rather

but the 130 can and does refuel rather easily. You can change the angle of the
blades and the refueling petoe(sp) is low enough that it doesn't get chopped up.

FM Radio is carried on many cable systems...the same as TV signals.
Just hook the wire up (after it is split in two) to the FM receiver and
you might here all the local stations plus imported signals.
