The debunker on the show shifted his eyes so fast, and so often, I kept
wondering what he was trying to hide from us. All his body language said
was 'do not believe me'.
As for the lighthouse explanation: how could these people, having worked at
this place countless times before, suddenly see a lighthouse beam as an
alien device, and yet never again (except for the two other episodes)?

Next Friday, September 27, 1991 on TNT at 3:45 A.M. E.S.T. there
is a documentary called 'UFO.' It was made in 1956.
I seem to vaguely recall seeing this when I was a kid. I be-
lieve that it dealt with the overflights of UFOs over
Washington, D.C., and other assorted stuff of the time. As
I recall, and I was only a kid, it was interested. So, if you
got a Video recorder, this is a must from a historical perspec-
tive. Looking at the T.V. guide is looks like it might run
2 hours and 15 minutes, but you can never be sure.

Greetings to all
I couldn't agree with John more...except to say that I feel we've
'hit the skids' already! Ufology has truly become a "War of the
*Words*".
I was just conversing with a man in Chicago, who's been involved in
ufology since Roswell. He's now in his mid 70's and told me he
knows little more about the phenomenon at present than he did 40
years ago. Recently, he has lost interest, and is selling off his
book collection.
Betty Hill is giving up lecturing at conferences because she says
there are now too many 'flakes' in the field. Even she does not
believe there have been as many 'abductions' as people claim.
Now, every black helicopter spotted is part of the cover-up. Each
new aircraft developed is touted as being a byproduct of 'alien'
technology. Every television commercial involving ET's or UFO's is
part of the government's 'adjustment and preparation' campaign.
'Mysterious' objects, implants, etc. are being found everywhere,
but nothing definitive ever comes of these 'breakthroughs'. Our
incessant hunger for more information is fed by the purveyors of
trash in the UFO periodicals. 'Fringe group' conferences abound
everywhere. Stanton Friedman even operates a '900' line where for
$2.00/minute, you can listen to old UFO material. What a rip-off!
Is that any way for a scientist to gain credibility?
Everyone seems to collect books, videos, documents, and case
histories - but to what end? This doesn't really bring us any
closer to the truth, but it does help line the providers pockets.
So, where do I think we're all headed? I guess I'll just have to
'channel' some Atlantean and find out. <grin>
Regards,

Jim,
Thanks for the work you did getting it all in here. I think Maury is mad
at me, huh? I don't get it though. I thought we were talking about cockpit
lights, then suddenly we're talking about tail lights and landing lights.
Gee, I just wanted to say I'd never found a white cockpit light in the 150 I
flew. Didn't mean to set him off ;-). No need for a reply. It doesn't
matter. Thanks again.--Michael

It's pretty obvious lots of the circles have been hoaxed, som ein front of
witnesses. And it's pretty obvious by demonstration that it's possible for a
couple of guys to trample on some wheat and make circles. Even though these
two 60 year olds couldn't possibly have created all the circles, copycat
hoaxers could be invoked to account for the rest. It amazes me why someone
would go to so much trouble and energy in the middle of the night, but
still, it is possible.
BUT, what I still don't understand is some of the very complex geometric
shapes that have been created, and ones I've seen pictures of. These shapes
are perfectly geometric, especially as seen from the air. They are very
complex as well. How could a couple of guys with gunsights attached to their
baseball caps create these complex patterns? I heard recently (and no
confirmation yet) that one of the latest circles has been identified as a
Mandelbrot set. Two guys with baseball caps? I'd surely like to know how
they did that.

Subject: Implants

Yes, Keith...the implant issue is certainly an elusive one. Of
course, I guess that could be said for the entire UFO phenomenon.
It's interesting that the earliest reference to implants that Jerry
could come up with was from the early 1980's. However, quite a few
science-fiction films were made in the mid to late 50's which
involved alien cerebral 'implants' used to control the human mind.
One of these I remember was the classic _Invaders From Mars_. So
the implant stories (even though fictional in this case) began much
earlier than the 80's.
Your case pertaining to the submandibular implant and its'
subsequent removal/disappearance is evocative of a similar
experience involving a woman here in Chicago. Briefly, this woman
had become aware of a series of abduction experiences, prior to
which she had undergone an MRI to attempt to diagnose a cause for
her chronic back pain. The radiologist's report described an UBO at
that time, but told the woman that this was noted in approximately
5% of all patients, was not pathological, and was not the cause of
her back pain. In January of 1990, the woman went to have a second
MRI done by a physician in New York who was sympathetic to the
abduction phenomenon, and was doing a study on abductee's claiming
implants. Supposedly, although I have not seen the actual data, the
radiologist found 'nothing remarkable' after scanning a dozen
individuals and soon lost interest in the investigation.
Another major problem with the implant scenario is the fact that
allegedly there are scores of recovered implants being scrutinized
by 'un-named' scientists at 'un-named' institutions. Nothing is
verifiable! The evidence, as far as I can tell, remains anecdotal.
Keep up the good work Keith, and I look forward to reading your
next article in the IUR.

Well, it turns out that there IS a white dome light in the 152, but don't
sweat it, there's not the slightest possibility that an aircraft can be
indentified from such as that.

That's it, you've confirmed it. This "predictions" file came from Scott Corder.
I remember that he made a point of mentioning Bob Dole's hometown because it
was the same as his own.
Scott Corder is a gent who started making all sorts of neo-Biblical prophecies
a couple of years back, none of which came true. I have the complete file on
him somewhere.....

Hi, Peggy
I've been following your "Ogden objects" story with interest, and
quite honestly, at least a modicum of skepticism.
I think it would be great if you could post a brief synopsis of
this event, detailing the objects discovery and events that have
unfolded up to this point.
Apparently, you now have photographs in your possesion which Jim
Speiser is going to digitize and make available to the network. Who
took these pix, and who actually disovered the objects? What is the
apparent connection with Sitchin's material? I understand that the
"writing" is supposed to be similar to Arabic characters according
to Curtis.
You would think that many news services would be interested in
picking up a story such as this, but to my knowledge only_Omni
Magazine_ has shown an interest in the scoop.
>From what I've seen so far, it seems to be the same old story of
too many "un-named" sources. Anecdotal evidence such as this *must*
be verifiable if we are to be taken seriously.
Best of luck,
-= Sheldon =-

Hi Jim,
Wouldn't dream of asking you for 29 cents for sending you a drawing of
the Ogden Object. It's a sketch I made from a photograph, not the
actual photograph. But I guess I did a good enough job because several
people have identified it as a "tunnel borer." It is supposedly some
40 feet high. Post your address & I'll snail it to ya.

Hi Clark,
The man who was channeling Tesla (alledgedly) was not speaking in
Hungarian, just in a really thick Hungarian-type accent. (I was at the
BeckleyCon earlier in this month and attended that particular session.)
TTYL,
Linda
