I never could buy that argument. I would like to think that our military would
be smart enough not to fly a nuclear powered craft over a functioning nuclear
reactor, let alone a highly populated area. But one can never be to sure of
what's in the mind of the military.

I have one dated in 1988. Probably the same one.

Has anyone out there heard anything new on the strange patterns being
created in the wheat fields of England? The local news in Detroit had
a segments that researchers were spending a month there, but I haven't
heard anything in the past few weeks.

This was fascinating reading, but Phil made one clear factual
error that only serves the debunkers, and should be corrected:

+We had these people draw the outline of the shapes of the planes that they
+saw. The drawings were all very similar,so we sent them to two pilots that
+we know. One is a ex-military pilot,the other a ex-commercial pilot who
+used to fly missions for the CIA.All of our aircraft experts and our two
+pilots agree that the desgin was that of an O-2 type aircraft. The O-2 is a
+medium duty aircraft with a single engine. It is made by Cessna Aircraft.

This is half right -- the O-2 is the military version of the
Cessna 337 Skymaster, which any aviation buff will tell you has
+two< engines, mounted inline on the fuselage, one pushing, and
one pulling. It is this feature, along with its twin tail booms,
that gives the plane its distinctive appearance.

It is also true that this airplane is favored by the CIA. Also
by our clients in South and Central America... it's great for
strafing small villages.

I'm still digesting the rest of this file, but I was saddened to
see this obvious error.

Rich where did you get theses predictions at? Nostradamus stob by and
drop off a copy of his latest guesses. Not trying to be sarcastic but i
here so many bad things on people who listen to prophecys that it is
unreal.

I saw something odd in the sky Friday night. A semicircular pattern of lights
against the cloud deck.
The lights were illumination on the clouds, rather than point-sources. The
apex was pointing roughly northeastward.
Anyway, here goes.
From the west shore of Lake Cherokee (just SE of downtown), on a bearing of
about 200 degrees, elevation of about 45 degrees, subtending about 20 degrees.
>From about 10:35 pm to about 10:45 pm.
Six illuminated patches of cloud in a semicircular pattern. No visible
illumination from below. Searchlight beams were seen emanating from about 20
degrees further eastward, and the beams were clearly visible. No beams were
seen causing the spots.
I watched the pattern for about 10 minutes, and didn't notice any movement.
Because of the cloud deck, I couldn't see anything above the clouds.
The dog got too antsy and I had to take him on inside. I went back out and
the pattern was gone.
I'm not familiar with what's down in that area, so I don't know of anything
on the ground that would have caused the pattern. I can imagine a semicircular
pattern of searchlights aimed straight up, but I didn't see the beams.
I've never seen the light pattern before.
Odd.

That is odd. Back in 1982, I was a little early for work, so I
had a chance to wander around outside the building I worked in
at the time as I had 15 or so minutes to kill. I looked up at the
sky and noticed something really strange and unusual that I've yet
to see since then.

What I was viewing was a cloud formation that covered the eastern portion
of the sky and the clouds were in seven EXACT finger-like shapes entending
outwards like a giant hand. The early morning sun's red illumination backlit
the whole thing and as I was watching this I had the distinct impression
that it was NOT the "normal" cloud formation that one usually sees.

It was very odd and I've not forgotten that all these years. This was
off Howell Branch Rd close to Hwy 436.

Maybe "someone" is trying to get our attention?

Three? Scott Rogo, Stacy Borland, and....who else?

Well, Stacy Borland died in a double murder. I believe the other victim was
her brother, yes? (Not sure.) Thus the number.

Leaving aside for the moment the strange death of Dr. M. K. Jessup in 1959
of course.

Best,
Clark

PS -- Jim, do you know Bob Emmenegger? I'm trying to find out if he's the
same Bob Emmenegger I grew up with long ago & far away in Garden City, Long
Island. Reply by email if you like. Thanx!

Okay what is the source of the Prophecies posted here awhile ago just
curious if it was someone from the past or a bunch of guesswork.

Having tracked this case almost from the beginning, I can tell you that it
was given serious consideration by most folks at first. Around April of 88, a
special edition of the International UFO Reporter editorialized that extreme
caution was warranted, due to some of the complaints commonly voiced today,
such as the "hokey" look of the photos, the non-symmetry of the object, and
the overall (no pun intended, Zan) shakiness of Ed's story. What caution that
editorial engendered seemed to be thrown to the wind after Bruce Maccabee's
presentation at the MUFON Conference in Lincoln that year. It seemed to be an
impressive case after all, even to me. A couple of folks at CUFOS even raised
their eyebrows. But since then its been pretty much downhill. More accurately,
the fissure it has caused between groups, and even members of the same group,
has widened drastically.
