I'm sorry about the length of this, but I've been so busy lately that
I've had little time to do more than scan the newletter when it comes
in. I've responded to a number of people here and that is why this is
so long.

# Has anyone else noticed a complete lack of interest in what should be
# a very interesting story in their area?
Jim:
This shouldn't be a big surprise. Just SOP. I first heard about here
on Paranet.
As for Project Blackbird, I've been following the coverage on ABC's Good
Morning America show. This morning (Thursday, 7/26/90) one of the
senior researchers involved in Project Blackbird gave an interview.
They did manage to uncover a hoax the other night. They found
footprints in and around one of the circles. However, the circle did
not even come close to matching the others that eventually lead up to
this project. This guy went on to say that he is convinced that there
is an intelligence behind what is going on, but he steadfastly refrained
from saying it was UFOs.
-+From the photos they've been showing, I'd have to say that something
mighty peculiar is going on. However, I don't think that it is beyond
the realm of a human hoax. Humans can be very inventive creatures when
they set their minds to it.
BTW, the equipment that they are using enables them to cover 50 sq.
miles.

# Cooper is so far out, I think
# IMHO, he is skating on the 'edge', or has already slipped over.
If I voted, I'd vote for the latter. Long since over the edge.
#
# Incidentally, I just got back from Vegas as I had to go over
# there in concert with my investigation on the 'Whistleblowers'.
# Cooper had originally been invited to speak at former Lt. Col.
# 'Bo' Gritz's little "Freedom Call" weekend. Gritz had already
# gotten a belly full of Cooper, and with my Part One, Cooper was
# dis-invited. Now he is claiming that maybe the 'briefing
# documents' he saw in 1972 during a 'change in command at
# CINPACFLT' was to disinform HIM. In other words, all his
# information may be FALSE. Now, ain't that surprising????
How is Bo? Sort of lost track of him since he was in Orlando couple of
years ago. Talked with him via radio talk show at that time. Is he
considering another trip to find MIAs? If so, my Alice gear is ready to
go and so am I!! Weaponry is cleaned, loaded, and ready as well. ;-)
I'm glad to hear that the Colonel 'dis-invited' Cooper. Cooper is the
last person that he needs hanging around him.
Surprising!? No, not really. Cooper has got to find a way to dig
himself out of the big cavern he's dug for himself. I'll be interested
to see what he has to say about all this down the road. Since they have
taken the 'I Love Lucy' series off the local channels, I need a comedy
show. I'd say Abbott and Costello, but Cooper can't even get that
close.
BTW, Don, do you know what level of clearance Cooper claims to have had?
Would be interesting to know what else he pretends to. ;-)
#
# BTW, if you thing ParaNet is controlled, I got so prime bottom
# land for sale. You interested?? And please tell BS that my check
# is late, will you?
Aw, shucks, and here I was going to offer Zach a beautiful house in DC!
Well, if he turns down your bottom land, let me know. I have that
wonderful house in DC and some great ocean front property in Arizona.
Oops, forgot! Sold that to someone else. Guess I'll push that land in
New Mexico. Except for the unexploded ordinance, it is great land.

# What is the ALternative-3 plan?? Are there files describing it??
Rick:
There are probably some files out there. Actually, I'd suggest that you
get a good SF novel--try 'Twistors' or "Empire's Horizon." Much more
interesting, IMHO.
But if you insist on digging into Alternative-3, there is a paperback
out now--actually, it may be out of print. You might find a copy in a
local used book store. I'd offer to send you mine, but I threw it out.
That does it folks. My thoughts for the week. I'm glad that the GB
stuff is slowly dying out on the net. Can we please move on to other
things!? This story about the 6 GIs seems very interesting. What about
the sightings in upper New York? Have they stopped?
Also, Mike Corbin, I need an address to send you some USmail. I've got
a piece on UFO propulsion that you might find interesting.

I'd suggest you start by calling Eastman Kodak in Rochester NY and
asking for suggestions re analysis, or they may be willing to do it
themselves, for a price. The reason I suggest Kodak is that I know
they are capable of analysis and they presumably wouldn't have any
particular axes to grind, if you get my meaning.
What, specifically, do you mean by analysis? I can help to some

I don't think a car provides quite the shielding we may think it
does.
I've gotten incredibly strong interference on my VHF scanner *inside
the car* with no external antenna while driving near the radars at
Patrick AFB in Florida. The radar's up in the Ghz range, I think.
Anyway, the RF stages are being swamped even though the radar's way
out of band. I wouldn't be surprised if an electronic ignition system
could be similarly affected if the situation was that the radar
occasionally pointed straight at the car.

So that's how the model was found. Makes sense.
Like Ed Walters' pictures, Meier's look "funny" to me. As if the
object is so clear and sharp in relation to the background that it has
to be very close to the camera.
Of course I also have to bear in mind that I've taken lots of
pictures at air shows in which the airplanes are similarly sharp
against a hazy background.
Something just occured to me re photo analysis, and I've never heard
of anyone doing it.
In most any photo that has a foreground and background, and the
background is very far away, the atmospheric haze increases (visually)
with the distance away from the camera. It would appear that we could
develop a haze-to-distance ratio for certain pictures, and if a
photographed object in that picture didn't conform to that ratio, we'd
have to say that the object is very close to the camera, as with a
model.
Make any sense?

I just found the same drawing in Bob Boyd's recently-published
history of the Gulf Breeze sightings. It appears in the section titled
Failure at Science which he published on Sept. 4, 1988, so that
drawing was actually published in 1988. Ample time for someone to make
a model according to the published drawing.
Comparing a photo of the model to the drawing, note that the bottom
structure is attached to the main body of the craft in the drawing
smoothly, like it's curved outwardly from vertical to horizontal, while on the
model the curve between the bottom structure and the main body is
reversed. It's actually a plastic plate glued onto the main structure,
and the curve between the plate and the main body is the reverse of
what appears in the drawing. All the rest is very close.
I'd guess that someone worked from that published drawing.

That's very true, and may be more pertinent than you think. I just read the
original release on MUFONET, in which Colin Andrews was extremely excited
about the discovery, and said that there's NO WAY the circle could have been
hoaxed.
I get the impression that Andrews is now saying, "Very funny. Now please cut
it out so we can see what is really causing the circles." Has he ever given
thought to the possibility that his cameras actually caught the cause of it
all?

Turn it around. Is it even remotely conceivable that two separate groups
within the government could carry out such effective cover-ups? If I were in
charge of assignments, I'd use the same people who buried Roswell to bury the
JFK shooting. Only 1 in a million can keep a secret that big - people like
that are hard to find.
Greer shooting Kennedy is still beneath consideration, though. Its flat-out
impossible.

From Rex's info gathering, it looks like it was much bigger for
quite a while before Ed came along and we just didn't know it.
I'm leaning toward the idea that Ed's incidents may be a cover to
distract everyone away from all the other incidents. I'll also accept
that idea that Ed isn't in on the operation.
The best way to run an op is when your agent doesn't know he's an

While I would persist in dis-agreeing with the "It's GOT to be
a HOAX" camp...I, like you am leaning towards the above sentiment
more..I think Speiser was right on the mark here.
I'm still awaiting further data on the GB arrests and Aug 6th
isn't far off..I suppose the day will come and go without
incident but we'll see..
More disturbing to me is a statement that Ray Griffin made
about protecting the secrets of the mind..I think THAT also
must be taken into account.

Don,
Just saw your comments concerning part two and your trip to Vegas. So ol'
Billy boy is changing his tune now is he...Somehow that doesn't surprise me
in the least. Once you pull his fangs I would imagine that after reading
that flamer I put to him in the FIDO he's going to try and gum on me for a
bit telling everyone that I set him up or something...Oh Well.....(snicker)
BTW the dates are now set for the conference as Feb. 15-16-17...I'll be
sending out the announcements within the next 24 hours and have everything
locked in for sure. I'll call you and give you that particulars, if I
haven't called by the time you get this message.
