Excuse me for butting in here guys, but I would like to make the observation
that since I have gone head to head with Tim AND Bill Cooper on more than
one occassion, it seems to me that Tim's problem isn't so much that he's a
nerd, it's just that he believes to much of the gunk that Cooper feeds him.
That and the fact that like Coop he has a tendancy to open mouth before
putting brain in gear.
BTW, I'm the new kid on the block so don't mind me...

Tyson,
Allow me to point out that some time back the Billy Mier Case ran into
something similar in that a model was found in Billy's barn. Based on this,
the screams of fraud were heard far and wide. I am not saying that the
Mier's case wasn't fraudulent, however it strikes me as odd that all of a
sudden a model shows up at "Ed's" old house. One which he has not lived in
for more than a year.....If it worked once, why not twice?? It's certainly
something to consider..

As a matter of fact I have an in with a couple of people who are the
Producers for NPR's "Morning Edition". This from my radio days..If I have
some particulars I might be able to get them to track down a tape of that

Jim,
I have spoken with Jym Fox, the new moderator of the FIDO UFO Echo. He seems
to be a pretty laid back guy and I have a feeling that you will see some
serious changes in the Echo. The first being that this "Censored Network"
business on the origin line is a thing of the past. He's got a lot of good
ideas and I personally feel that he may be just what was needed.
After I blasted Cooper on the other Net he flamed my tail real good and
rightly so...Even if he did get a good laugh out of it...<grin>

Not anymore..I have talked with Al Weiss the owner of UFO Universe.
Apparently there is a severe financual problem with regard to the magazine
and as of two weeks ago he was meeting with several potential investors in
the hope of saving the magazine, even if it's under new ownership. I don't
know what Tim's gonna do since I haven't talked with him since just before
he left to go on vacation, but I to have come to respect him and hope that
everything works out well for him. From what I am hearing though, with the
exception of Tim that whole opertion was pretty hoaky..

MIke,
As I understand it Antonio Huneeus has been around since Jim and Coral
Lorenzen days, specializing in the South and Central American Region, to
include Pueto Rico. I have several tapes of his speeches at past conventions
and symposiums. If you send me a blank video tape or two I'll have copies
made for you and you can judge for yourself..

Don,
I think that Antonio got a bum deal on this one. I know for a fact that the
material that most likely came to Antonio came from a gentleman by the name
of Bill Knell who was the head of an organization known as "Island
Skywatch". During the past year Knell was putting out all sorts of
information to include some quite extensive material on the South African
thing. Unfortunately it turns out that much of the material he was sending
out he was changing and editorialising to suit his own desires and needs. I
have copies of several letters from various members of the "Island Skywatch"
Steering committee who have effectively resigned in mass when they
determined that Knell was lying to them. As a result of Knell's actions
several people were hurt both financually and reputation wise. Antonio
Huneeus is still a good investigator, if somewhat overly trusting of Knell
and the material that he provided.
For a time I even believed Knell until I discovered that he was selling
tapes of mine and Don Ecker's speeches at the 1989 MUFON conference in Vegas
without our permission. When I confronted Knell with this he denied it. When
I called Bob Girard of Arcturus Book Service I discovered otherwise. Poor
Bob was so upset by the whole thing he has informed me that for now he isn't
going to carry any video tapes at all. To add insult to injury there were
several other people including "Bunte Magazine" in Munich Germany who got a
royal enema from Knell. So don't hold the South African thing against
Antonio. Knell stuck a lot of people...including me...

I'm sure someone here could run a star map program to at least narrow it down,
but I think they'll need your approximate latitude and a more exact location
of the object (almost overhead when facing what direction?).
If you noticed a very slight haziness, it might have been a high altitude
cloud layer, which got thicker while you weren't noticing, and caused the
object to disappear.
Just theorizing.
