George Knapp, KLAS-TV's award winning news reporter who brought
us "UFOs: The Best Evidence" and whom profiled Bob Lazar as the
so-called "Area 51 secret physicist" has been writing a bi-weekly column in the
Las Vegas Sun. For the most part, Knapp has been writing on
various subjects of local interest, totally unrelated to UFOs.
In today's paper, however, George makes a comment as a close to
his article (non-UFO) related which I found to be interesting.
It is, and I quote, "The last chapter in the Bob Lazar story is
not yet written. Anyone who thinks this is just going to
disappear could be mistaken."
Lazar will be sentenced for his involvement in a Las Vegas
prostitution ring on August 6th. Will this close the final
chapter that Knapp is talking about? Wait a minute!!!!!! Isn't that
the date that Jesus is to fly into Gulf Breeze aboard Ed's UFO
under the watchful eye of the "End of the World" cult and the
adventures of the MIB 6? Stay tuned! Same bat time -- Same bat
channel!

Aug 6th, When I read that date for some reason I knew that it was a
important date. It is the aniversary of the first Atomic bomb drop on
Hiroshima.... Aug 6th 1945.....
Interesting date for the gulf breeze pick up...

Bill:
Caught your message on the comments of two wire service employees in
Paranet Digest 279. What exactly did these people hear? I gather they
were both in the southwest, so the report of the GB 6 story's quashing
would be second-hand, wouldn't it? I.e., the order to stop sending
stories out over the wire would be sent to a southeast bureau. If
that's the case, have you had any luck tracking the story any further?
To the people who were told not to give it any more coverage, for
instance? Would your contacts be willing to go on record with their
accounts? (I'd imagine if they went along with the original action,
they likely wouldn't be candidates for investigating or documenting
their experience. Not intended to be a criticism of these people, just
an observation.)
Have you managed to locate any newspapers in the GB area which have
devoted space to the local story? I've not been able to get any
Florida
papers from the OSU library (I'm in Columbus), but did find a piece
about it in the Army Times, containing, toward the top, the more
sensational (and, I might add, unverifiable) elements of the
story--elements which, so positioned, tend to mark the story as light
fare. I do have a collection of six or so stories culled from various
online wire services which I can mail you if you're interested. I am
pretty skittish about posting them on CompuServe since the information
providers (particularly AP) have placed dire prefatory warnings online
to discourage the duplication or fowarding of stories even for private
use.
Side note: with all the accusations Bill Cooper is noted for slinging
around, a recent story I read on the civil suit Eugene Hasenfus (CIA
gun-running air crew member, shot down over Nicaragua a couple years
back) is pressing against the gov provides food for innuendo, if not
for thought. In the story, Hasenfus recounted, in court, how he was
first recruited to work for the Company's bogus air freight operation
by a guy named--get this!--William Cooper in Miami. As Bill himself
would no doubt hold, this can only mean something ominous.

I think what happened was a combination of fairly low-res gear and
distance. It is an odd incident, though.

I'd think that if you just didn't try to "cash in" on it, you
wouldn't demand such strict scrutiny as an Ed Walters or even a
Whitley. Look at all those people whom Budd Hopkins brings on TV,
some of whom use their real names. No one cares about bashing them
around or even looking at them under a microscope or through a
proctoscope.
It just seems that the people who stand to profit the most from the
UFO issue always draw the most critisism from both inside and outside
of the ufology crowd. (IMHO)

My advice to you is to look at all aspects of the UFO phenomena. You'll find
that beliefs range from "human-eating aliens" to "space brothers offering
enlightenment". The only thing missing is hard evidence and without that, all
we have are other people's opinions. If you personally have had a UFO
experience then you have some proof for yourself but it is unlikely that other
people will consider this "proof enough".
The point I'm trying to make is that after you do some reading you'll discover
that 1) The UFO phenomena is real, 2) No one really knows what these UFO's are,
and 3) Our Gov't knows more about them than they readily admit to.

Meaning that with so much UFO activity in their own backyard, they
are beginning to feel very intrigued by all of it. Sort of like the
people in Fyffe, Alabama, and any other place where there has been
an increased level of paranormal activity (the mysterious swaths and
wheat field circles bombarding the English countryside currently).
Not, literally, that they, the people of Gulf Breeze, Florida, are
in fact anointed. It was a figure of speech. Please don't barf so
easily or without so little explanation. It gives those of us who
are pursuing this subject seriously great pause as to why you are
even on this BB. There's more than enough skepticism to overcome
without unnecessary monosyllabic barfing occurring every step of the
way. Enough said.

On tonight's 'A Current Affair,' it was mentioned that the Gulf Breeze Six
(for lack of a better name) had gone to GB in order to contact a well-known
author and expose the government cover-up of UFOs. This is something I've
never heard in all the other reports, and in fact seems to contradict the
other reports (i.e., they were there to meet Jesus.)
What's going on?

Could somebody please inform our handlers that none of my cheques

that there are pressing government expenses, like Neal Bush's car
payments, gifts for dictators, and the like, but I could definitely

Greetings to my fellow agents, and keep up the good work.
Terrific work, by the way, on Cooper and Bennett. We managed to
make it look as if they were merely cranks who shot themselves in
the foot, all by themselves. The public will never suspect where
all that drivel really came from. Good job!

Yes in answer to your question. In the next issue of UFO Magazine, Vol. 5
Number 5, due out the end of August, the author, Howard Blum is interviewed by
myself and Vicki Cooper Editor of UFO, and his book is reviewed. This should
end up as a must read for the UFO community. Also on line is Part Two of "The
Whistleblowers", Part Two of "The American made UFO, the B2", and Gulf Breeze
revisited. All in all, IMOHO, a must read******Grin***.

Subject: DESERTERS

I read a newswire report in "The Hutchinson News", Hutchinson,KS a few
days ago that stated the six army deserters found in Gulf Breeze had
been demoted in rank and given general discharges. I thought it strange
that considering the severity of the charge of desertion, that they in
effect were given a "mild" punishment. Either this was done as a "deal'
for their silence in the matter or perhaps the army had been "testing"
them for possible promotion to more sensitive information and they
simply "freaked out" and took off. That would be a plausible
explaination. I noticed all six were young, in their early and mid
twenties. The only thing about this whole end of the world thread going
on here is that right now it looks grim in the Mid East with Iraq
having invaded Kuwait. At this moment as I'm writing this, dawn is only
a couple of hours away and any military action against Saudi Arabia
will be initiated at any time. At least if the "August 4th War" rumor
is correct.
