I'll have to keep a watch for this book. What you're saying regarding his
observations is something I've been thinking about. If a map showing these
"lines of flux" as you put it, were fixed in position it might be interesting
to see if there are more UFO's reported along these lines than outside of them.

Actually I was just speculating as to a UFO's means of propulsion. IF a UFO
used some sort of a magnetic drive, then there MAY be more UFO's reported along
these magnetic lines. These lines might act as highway since the magnetic
fields would be stronger; outside of the lines would be a weaker field and
therefore slower travel.

How would this be possible? I don't know but (and still speculating) if a disk
could apply a charge to the bottom that was opposite of the Earth's charge, it
would ascend. It if then applied a negative charge to it's nose, it would be
attracted north. The stronger the charge, the faster the travel.

I'm not sure why I've been thinking about the type of travel of UFO's, but
they have been reported to make almost right-angle turns, as if they're
grabbing onto something, and I've not read of a sonic boom being reported even
though they seem to travel at super sonic speeds. Basically I'm attempting to
learn more by learning what they don't do (if that makes any sense).

Today, while driving to work I was listening to the car radio. The DJ who was
on was doing a Dial-A-Date comedy segment. A man calls up and is interviewed by
his prospective date who asks him what type of work he does. He claims to be an
astrophysicist. He also says that most of his time is spent at the telescope
and that most of his work involves classified work for the Gov't.

I'd like to know what you think this classified work might entail? What's
out there to be observed that must remain classified? Are there enough
classified "things" out there that would take up the bulk of a person's time?

I don't see any reason to expect the earth to have a magnetic grid.
Often you see a "grid" on drawings as a way to represent the pattern of
the magnetic field, but that is the same as weather maps that show
isobar lines. Its just a way to draw a picture, it doesn't mean there
really are little lines of pressure spread out in a grid structure.
What is likely is that the magnetic field has local areas of slightly
higher and lower strengths due to various geological anomolies, faults,
etc, in the earth, but not in any regular pattern other then a pattern
from, say, a range of mountains that is high in iron ore content and
similar types of things.

If the UFO's are surrounded by some sort of "field" as many have
speculated, it is also easy to speculate that the "field" has the side
benefit of eliminating sonic booms as was explained by someone in
regard to rocket nosecones having a strong charge, or whatever to help
in reducing heat build up.

We have a very preliminary report of a couple of sightings in a small town in
Mississippi called Pontotoe, which is supposed to be an hour and a half from
Memphis. Supposedly involves at least one police officer and some videotape.
A major UFO publication will pay gas expenses. Any takers?

It would, indeed, and I didn't mean to throw cold water on the idea. Its worth
looking into, as long as you don't unconsciously skew your data.

Well, possibly convienience? If we lived in a society that was more
technically advanced than ours, and we had many veichles that were used
by most of the population that were supersonic, wouldn't it make sense
that we would want technology that would keep us from having a sonic
boom every 2 minutes?
If so, probably all our veichles would have this technology, even ones
being sent to another planet.

Just some speculation,
Dan

to check into the used stores. If you can't find a copy and want
one, let me know. I can get it from the store in Denver.

From: paranet!mcorbin
Subject: Bill Cooper's Downfall
Date: 5 May 90 05:14:00 GMT

As if the UFO field was not in enough trouble, George Knapp of
KLAS-TV in Las Vegas put the icing on the cake with the exposure
of Bill Cooper as a "phoney" and a "fraud."

Tonight saw the continuing saga of "UFOs: The Best Evidence" as
George Knapp featured Bill Moore, John Lear and a host of others
who have had contact with Bill Cooper, and whom all state that
Cooper has been making up all the story of aliens eating people,
underground bases and the whole paranoid gamut of trash that has
flooded the UFO community in recent times.

In a startling revelation, John Lear admitted that he "and
another person"
had dreamed up the O.H. Krill material and name
and that Bill Cooper was aware of this despite Cooper's
insistence that he had also seen the material while onboard the
PacFleet vessel in the early 1970s. According to Lear and Moore,
Cooper has taken material from several sources and has blended it
into his famous document long ago denounced by ParaNet shortly
after it made its appearance on our network. According to Moore,
Cooper's original document consisted of only a few pages. Now,
his document is over 28 pages long and covers everything from the
Kennedy assassination conspiracy to the trilateral commission
takeover of the world at the hands of the aliens.

As if that was not enough, KLAS featured a phone answering
machine tape where Bill Cooper called John Lear's home and stated
that anyone who went against him would be "crucified." Cooper
made certain threats to John Lear for discrediting him and ended
the call with the statement, "I hope you have a nice flight."
Cooper's tone of voice implied that the statement was meant as a
threat against John Lear for making public statements against
Cooper.

This leaves a very sour taste in the mouths of literally
thousands of "Cooper-ites," -- those loyal followers of Bill
Cooper who have gravitated toward extremists beliefs and comes on
the heels of Billy Goodman's firing at KVEG radio for featuring
Cooper on his program wherein Cooper lashed out at the radio
station for moving Goodman's program from 10 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. to
midnight to 3:00 A.M.

More to follow...

From: Gene Gross <gross@dg-rtp.dg.com>
Subject: Magnetic Grid
Date: 5 May 90 16:56:51 GMT

Hi Paul:

The Earth creates a tremendous magnetic field--in fact as I recall my
readings, the Earth's magnetic field is extremely intense for a planet
this size (on the order of .5 gauss). However, unlike the magnets that
you and I buy in the store, the Earth's field is a very dynamic field.
It is very possible that the field builds up eddies here and there.
Based on this, some have postulated that the Devil's Triangle (and other
similar areas around the globe) are merely massive eddies that come and
go. But little research has been done that I know of.

I heard a couple of folks talking about the magnetic field in relation
to observed polarization of light around UFOs. They said that to
achieve that polarization would require a magnetic field on the order of
2000 gauss! Not being a physicist, I can't confirm nor deny such
statements, but I tend to be a wee bit skeptical. 2000 gauss is one
intense magnetic field. Remember that the Earth's field measures only
.5 gauss and that is enough to keep out a lot of the radiation that
would scour this planet clean of all lifeforms in short order. Much of
that radiation comes from the Sun carried on the solar winds.

Jim mentions that a French UFOlogist has discovered a grid, and Mike
seems to confirm that. I can't comment on that because I haven't come
across this in my personal readings. I'll see if I can find a copy of
the book that Jim mentions.

One thing to keep in mind though is that many of the reported physical
reactions to being in close proximity to a UFO match the same reactions
reported when exposed to very intense magnetic fields. Certainly
something to think about.

Gene

The film, "UFO's are real" has a segment that deals briefly with this case,
and I have seen the volumes of alien communications advertised in certain
new-age publications, at a cost of over $100...

The swiss farmer, Billy Meier, had photographed over a dozen different types
of alien craft operating in swiss airspace. Some of the craft were smaller
unmanned drones that were specifically for collecting environmental data. One
type of craft reportedly contained equipment enabling it to make direct
point-to-point jumps to any point in the universe. (The photo of this craft
was televised several years ago; it was saucer shaped with three black
rectangular formations extending radially from above the dome.)

He also had photographs of the occupants, which looked human in every detail.

The content of the communications was that the Pleiadians and the Human Race
share a common ancestor; that the contactee is a direct Human-Pleiadian
descendant; that they are concerned for us, their 'younger brothers' because
our technical potentials have exceeded our spiritual ability to handle the
informaton.
