I'm convinced that Cooper is in it for the money. He's a showman and anyone in
show business needs publicity. Look at Zsa Zsa Gabor. Do you ever see her
acting in anything? I don't. But her name is extremely well known.
But what are Lear's motives? He seems to be financially well off and he
doesn't seem to be deriving income from the UFO business. Isn't he a biggie in
the Lear jet corporation?
I thought that Lear and Cooper were "UFO buddies", at least for a while. Now
they are at opposite ends. Possibly Lear just wants to disassociate himself
from Cooper (?)

I'm trying to see if there's a pattern of some sort but if there is one, I
haven't seen it yet.
One of the other things I ponder about is the different shape of the UFO's.
There are round ones, triangular, wedding cake etc. Is there a purpose to each
style of ship? Are these different styles representative of a changing
technology at the ET's homeworld, or are they representative of different
races visiting us?

Kinda like Peggy Cass and Charles Nelson Reilly...

He is the estranged son of William Lear of Learjet fame. He did not inherit
the family fortune, but instead makes a decent living as a DC-10 pilot. I've
been to his house, he lives well, but not like a king.

I think there is a shred of sanity and perhaps scruples in Lear, whereas
Cooper is completely lacking in both. Either that or Lear is simply smart
enough to see that his friendship with Cooper was a sinking ship.

Don't mention it. The anti-grav. method is a timeworn PARTY TRICK. But
don't dismiss it just because it's a party trick. It does work. Even
weirder, it seems to have a psychic component. Beats the hell out of me,

Ea, politics aside, I must agree with you here. Woodward's Casey death-bed
confessions are patently false. Casey was comatose, on a ventilator, and
completely unreachable for months. Woodward's story is a lie. So, in all
likelihood, are many of the suppositions he tries to put in Casey's mouth.
I know someone who's prospering at the Washington Post and I don't think
much of the person. In fact, I don't think much of the paper.
How does the saying go about the Wash. Post? I believe it's "Sally Quinn
screw*d her way to the top, Bob Woodward lied his way to the top ... and
Kate Graham does everything on top..."
Or words to that effect. Tell me, Ea, do you believe Woodward's so-called
wondersource, "Deep Throat" ever existed? Just curious.

I don't think there are any lines of flux, except that at any point
on which you are standing could be considered to be a point on a
north-south line of flux. I think we just call it lines of flux as a
convenient term.
In the case of the Earth, it would actually be more like a hollow
sphere which would dip toward the surface at the poles.

Bear in mind that there are two huge military installations in the
immediate Gulf Breeze area. UFOs supposedly like military bases.

Nautical charts can also supply similar information, although aero

I second that opinion. As an aside, a local TV news staff turned an
insignificant case of a kook holed up in a convenience store into
pratically a miniseries, complete with updates every few minutes, etc.
As if that weren't enough, the next night one reporter intervied
another about his participation (answering the phone).

I saw that, and I thought that Lear has said he heard Cooper talking to

Actually, Lear was/is disinherited from the LEAR fortune/company/estate
whatever you call it. He is fairly well off... he has tried
(unsuccessfully) to run for public office in Las Vegas and Nevada...
etc... etc... I'm not saying any of this is fact... but I have good
second hand information... he used to work for good friends of the
family and my father when he worked for Lockheed.
My friends (who Lear flew for) say he was a bit "wierd" and that
he was disinherited from the Lear estate and company. I don't know
this for sure, it's only second hand knowledge.

Paul, you asked if those magnetic lines only depicted the degrees between

Yes, but the more deviation, the more magnetic strength in the area.

George Knapp has promised me a complete copy of the video as soon

As soon as I get one of my VCRs fixed, I will be able to make a

I had heard, although through a second hand source, that Lear
had pulled Cooper aside and told him that Lear and "another
person" had made it up and it was in Cooper's best interest to
quit talking as if he had seen the documents during his Navy
years. Lear maintains that Cooper heard the Krill stuff at his
house one evening.
I am getting clarification from George Knapp.

This is your opportunity to ask the questions you want answers to

From: keithr@tolkien.wv.tek.com
Subject: UFO chronology project
Date: 9 May 90 00:21:31 GMT
I am compiling a UFO chronology. I think we need to try to capture
events surrounding the UFO in one place so that we can see the scope
and importance of the events and possibly also make connections where
we wouldn't otherwise.
Is anyone else working on a project like this? I am using the Macintosh
Hypercard programming system, but any database program or even a word
processor would do. Perhaps we can collaborate. I expect to make
the chronology available to ParaNet when it gets to some reasonable
semblance of completion.
My criterion for inclusion is simply that the event be somehow related
to the UFO and that it be of national or international importance or
potential importance. Pretty broad. (However, this precludes me entering
things like finding out that a friend of mine has apparently had "visitor"
experiences similar to Whitley Strieber's. Which happened last week.)
One of Paris Flammonde's books and Ronald Story's Encyclopedia of UFOs have
UFO chronologies. Anyone know of other published UFO chronologies?
I would like to concentrate on the 1980s. Examples of things I will include,
or have already included, are: Ronald Reagan's alien allusion speeches, Gulf
Breeze, publication of Walter's book on Gulf Breeze, the Vallee Confrontations
book, the MJ-12 stuff, the UFO Coverup: Live show, the UFO finale at
the 1984 Olympics, the Levi-Strauss cotton dockers/EBE commercial, the
Lazar stuff, the Cooper/Lear disinformation stuff, the Roswell stuff, the
Philip Glass play with UFO theme, movies like The Return, Alien Seed,
Communion, etc., the current Gasoline Alley comic strip, the General
Hospital alien/human interaction theme, the new TV series Alien Nation,
the novels The UFO Conspiracy, Dark Eyes, Genesis, any moderately
significant spots on Hard Copy, Unsolved Mysteries, A Current Affair,
Inside Edition, PM Magazine, the start up of UFO and UFO Universe
magazines, publication of UFO articles in non-UFO magazines, the Tass
reported Voronezh sighting and the attendent attention by the national
media, the British crop circles, etc., and, of course, ordinary(!) UFO
cases having some important or distinctive aspect.
As you can see, anything that is clearly UFO or alien contact related and
NOT mere science fiction/fastasy I would consider fair game for the UFO
chronology. The Yugoslavian Medjugorje Marian events, fortean events not
involving a UFO closely associated in time and space (am I showing my
biases now?), various other psychic/paranormal happenings, etc., will not
go into this UFO chronology.
I would greatly appreciate all of you suggesting UFO events that should
go into this UFO chronology. Please give as many details as you know. I
will be making some effort to check out the facts on all the events I enter.
Any event with political, cultural, religious, economic(?), practical, etc.,
significance involving the UFO is fair game as long as it has national or
international significance.
