Yes. That can lead to serious conflicts! I am very familiar
with this.

Another thing which I think is being overlooked here is *what*
Maccabee actually stated about the photographs.
He was very careful in not coming right out and stating that the
pictures are of a UFO, but instead he pre-qualifies this with the
statement that in his opinion, and based upon *available*
information, he cannot find any ability on Ed's part to have been
able to hoax those photographs, although he does state that the
photographs could be hoaxed and that they have the quality of
"Hollywood" about them. From this, and only this, he draws his
conclusion that Ed's pictures are of a TRUFO. I am recalling
this from memory although I have a copy of Maccabee's original
paper regarding the analysis of the videotape of the UFO. I will
endeavor to find that report and provide a more accurate
rendition of Maccabee's statements regarding this.
Bottom line....Maccabee leaves a very large chasm between his
professional opinion of the authenticity of Ed's pictures and the
scientific validity of the data as I could find no real body of
scientific data to support such a blatant claim of proof of the
UFO's existence.
Suffice it to say that Maccabee is quite credible and competent,
and we are not implying that Maccabee is anything but
professional, but I am at a total loss as to how Maccabee arrived
at the conclusions that he did regarding the photographs. I have
yet to have a lengthy conversation with him on this subject and
am planning on doing so in the very near future.

What is your source of information, Ray? Perhaps I have missed
something in the months of knowing you, but are you an
investigator for one of the UFO groups such as MUFON?

Makes sense! I thought my memory was more or less correct -- but I couldn't
imagine that Vallee succeeded in interesting the US Academy of Science in a
UFO study when all others have failed! So my message looked wrong from the
moment I typed it!
BTW, talked with John Keel last night about UFOlogy in France and he says
that the French gov't gave up on its own (secret) UFO research in disgust.
Instead, the enlightened French now provide DIRECT GRANTS to UFO study
groups to evaluate present & past sightings.
The real surprise in this? Many French researchers have now become very
skeptical of some of the best-known cases of the the 1950's and 60's. I
mean, more skeptical than the French Air Force folks! All this according to
Keel.
He gave a funny -- but too short & nonspecific -- talk on MIBs at the
Gramercy Hotel here in NY. But he seems very discouraged by the present
state of UFOlogy.
Well, gotta go. I actually packed up the videocassette & will mail it
tomorrow! Will wonders never cease!

Hi Gene. Long time, no type! I'll be mailing copies of the Harris paper
out, soon, by the way.
The article from AI Expert sounds like worthwhile reading! As to implants,
the technology to do them is really here now, although it would involve some
pretty sophisticated microsurgery. We already have VLSI chip technologies
that could allow remote control of (theoretically) a million ganglions from
a single CMOS chip.
What's more, the many non-volitile semiconductor materials now in use would
allow the creation of a biological ROM chip -- nerves could be triggered
automatically, in sequence, whenever required. This has very interesting
implications, of course.
Not the least of which: Such an implant could be attached across the Vegas
nerves and literally turn someone's heart on or off. Or it could be
attached across the optic nerves and trigger blindness or the miraculous
restoration of sight!
Today's chips are still rather large, of course -- even submicron CMOS VLSI
chips like those of the IBM workstations are about 1" square. Moreover,
many of the nonvolitile chips must utilize arsenides, so they would
quite literally be poisonous. But I'm sure we're working on the problems...
Best,
Clark
(Ain't materials science wunnerful?!)

To All CIS and ParaNet members:
This file is uploaded exactly as I received it. The file came to
me unsigned and in the proverbial brown paper envelope. The text
was postmarked from Canada, and it had no return address. In the
file you will see reference two photo's that were included. What
these were: a xerox of an aerial photo of the Carp, Ontario region
and a very poor xerox of what was supposed to be an alien. No
detail was observed. Just a poor shot of what appeared to be a
"Grey". All in all, this is extremely "suspect" and the only
reason that I uploaded it was that there had been much comment
regarding it, not only here but on ParaNet. So:
read it at your own risk.

*****************************************************************
The Alledged C/R of the 11/89 "Alien Starfighter"
Canadian and American Security Agencies are engaged in a conspiracy
of silence, to withhold from the world the alien vessel seized in
the swamps of Corkery Road, Carp, in 1989.
UFO sightings in the Ontario region had intensified in the 1980's,
specifically, around nuclear power generating stations. On Nov.
4, 1989 at 20:00 hrs Canadian Defense Dept. radars picked up a
globe shaped object travelling at phenomenal speed over Carp,
Ontario. The UFO abruptly stopped, and dropped like a stone.
Canadian and American Security Agencies were immediately notified
of the landing. Monitoring satellites traced the movements of the
aliens to a triangular area. (see aerial map) off Almonte and
Corkery Roads.
The ship had landed in deep swamp near Corkery Road. Two AH-64
Apaches and a UH-60 Blackhawk headed for the area the following
night. The helicopters carried full weapon loads. They were part
of a covert American unit that specialized in the recovery of alien
craft.
Flying low over Ontario pine trees the Apache attack choppers soon
spotted a glowing, blue, 20 metre in diameter sphere. As targeting
lasers locked-on, both gunships unleashed their full weapon loads
of 8 missiles each. All 16 were exploded in proximity bursts 10
metres downwind from the ship.
The missiles were carrying VEXXON, a deadly neuroactive gas which
kills on contact. Exposed to air the gas breaks down quickly into
inert components. Immediately after having completed their mission
the gunships turned around, and headed back across the border.
Now the Blackhawk landed, as men exploded from its open doors. In
seconds the six man strike team had entered the UFO through a 7
metre hatchless, oval portal. No resistance was encountered. At
the controls, 3 dead crewman were found.
With the ship captured, the US Air Force, Pentagon, and Office of
Naval Intelligence were notified. Through the night a special team
of technicians had shut-down and disassembled the sphere. Early
the next morning Nov. 6, 1989 construction equipment and trucks
were brought into the swamp. The UFO parts were transported to a
secret facility in Kanata, Ontario.
As a cover story the locals were informed that a road was being
built through the swamp. No smokescreen was needed for the
military activity as Canadian forces regularly train in the Carp
region. Officially nothing unusual was reported in the area.
Although someone anonymously turned in a 35mm roll of film. It was
received by the National Research Council of Canada, in Ottawa.
The film contained several clear shots of an entity holding a
light. (see photo) At this time the photographer is still
unidentified.
The humanoids were packed in ice and sent to an isolation chamber
at the Univ. of Ottawa. CIA physiologists performed the autopsies.
The reptilian, fetus-headed beings, were listed as CLASS 1 NTE's.
(Non Terrestrial Entities) Like others recovered in previous
operations, they were muscular, grey-white skinned, humanoids.
The ship was partially reassembled at the underground facility in
Kanata. Unlike previous recoveries this one is pure military.
Built as a "Starfighter" it is heavily armed and armored. In
design no rivets, bolts, or welds were used in fastening, yet when
reconstructed there are no seams. The UFO itself is made up of a
matrixed dielectric magnesium alloy. It is driven by pulsed
electromagnetic fields generated by a cold fusion reactor. All
offensive capabilities utilize independently targeting electronic
beam weapons. In the cargo hold were found ordnance racks
containing fifty Soviet nuclear warheads. Their purpose was
revealed by advanced tactical/combat computers located in the
flight deck.
Threatened by recent East-West relations, and the revolutionary
movements within itself, Red China is preparing for the final
ideological war. The aliens have agreed to defend China from the
free world's combined military and nuclear forces.
At this time China is arming the Middle East with their own nuclear
arsenals, in order that they can successfully take on Israel.
Unifying the Arabs under one Chinese command was simple, especially
with Israel's recent "iron fist" attitude toward occupied
territories.
The Soviet warheads found in the UFO were destined for Syria. CIA
operatives in the Middle East have noticed huge movements of
Chinese "technicians" and "advisors". China is also supplying the
Arabs with bacteriological agents, Migs, Hind gunships, tanks, and
missile launchers.
The use of "Soviet" instead of "Chinese" nukes is part of a
disinformation campaign to break up East-West relations after the
annihilation of Israel. The Warheads were hijacked from Soviet
subs in the Dragon's Triangle. A section of alien controlled
Pacific once frequented by Russian subs. After losing some 900
high yield warheads and 13 vessels, commanders were ordered to
steer clear of the area.
The most important alien-tech. find were the 2 milimetre, spheroid,
brain implants. Surgical inserted through the nasal orifice the
individual can be fully monitored and controlled. The CIA and
Canadian Govt have actively supported mind-slave experiments for
years. Currently the Univ. of Ottawa is involved in ELF wave mind
control programs. A continuation of the CIA psychological warfare
project known as MKULTRA, started at the Allen Memorial Institute
in Montreal.
Using ELF signals transmitted at the same wavelength the human
brain uses, the researchers could subliminally control the test
subject. The alien implants utilize the same principles except
that the whole unit is subminiaturized and contained in the brain.
Fortunately the implants can be detected by magnetic resolution
scanning technology. All individuals implanted by the aliens are
classified as ZOMBIES.
The ZOMBIES have been programmed to help overthrow Mankind in the
near future. When China finishes with Israel it will invade
Europe. At the same time Chinese spacebased bacteriological
weapons will be launched at the Arctic. The winds will carry the
diseases into Russia and North America. In days 100's of millions
will be dead, survivors will have to deal with Chinese, aliens, and
the ZOMBIES.
The aliens want all out war so that human resistance would be
minimal, when they invade. They tried this same tactic once before
with Nazi Germany. Most of the scientific advances we have today
came from German science which was based on alien technology. Had
Hitler won the war, the earth would have become a concentration
camp.In order to depopulate the continents for the aliens.
Data aboard the sphere explained why the aliens are so comfortable
on our world. They preceded man on the evolutionary scale by
millions of years; created with the dinosaurs. Some 675 million
years ago an interdimensional war destroyed most of their
civilization, and forced them to leave the earth. Now they have
chosen to reclaim what was once theirs.
The alien forces with their Chinese and Arab allies will attack
within the next 5 years. Waiting longer than that would make it
impossible even for the aliens to reverse the ecological damage
inflicted on the Earth by Man.

Re: "The Boat"
Interesting. But you said it had a banner that showed it sailed the
Pacific. How then, Africa? Unles of course they took the "long way"
around. Was the boat moved and ported to the Atlantic? Still more
questions, as I guess you can gather. I am wondering if you might be
able to help me out with a little of my own investigation on this
matter. I will send details via net to Alpha. If it is, it is. If it
ain't then it just ain't. (Good english, eh?).
Yeah, that post was pretty interesting. WHat was the name of that file
you mentioned that you had? Was hoping to get a look-see at it. Tom did
have the knack of posting unusual things. He once casually posted a msg
about a Sandia Employee who went bonkers up in Toronto (made news and
all) and holed up in a room with a gun. I wanted to persue it but he
felt it was "not related".
I am doing fine. Just trying to "resist" the "rough weather" out there.
And recouperating from the ups & downs of sysopship. I got an
interesting packet in the mail a couple of weeks ago, and have been
going through the material. I might get around to doing a file sometime
in the future.

Re: Robert Anton Wilson, Cosmic Triggers, and LIBERTY
Hi Don... I see you have access to the LIBERTY also. I wonder if you
have read the following?
Libernet Msg: Mandella states that Jews have no place in South Africa.
[link] Leathel Weapon II (happened to rent it same night Mandella was
released). A strong statement for a movie.
[link] Benevolent Space Brethern are responsible for "World Peace"
efforts, and bringing the Wall in Berlin down.
Libernet Msg: Timothy Leary to speak at the NY Libertarian gathering.
The topic is: "How Libertarians Helped to Bring Down the Berlin Wall."
Timothy Leary ala "Star Seed" (ever read "Cosmic Trigger"?)
Who arrested Timothy Leary?.
Feb. of 1989 Liddy and Timothy Leary were on a TV show together.
Great companions (or as the person said, who told me about it "What an
odd "couple").
Read Jim SPeiser's interview with John Lear. He has an interesting
comment to make about the picture he saw that has an autograph on it.
To really stimulate some thoughts, if you can find the book, read
Bowart's account of Leary and the CIA trail that followed. (Operation
Mind Control).
Amazing. I had read Bowarts book a LONG time prior to knowing about
the Matrix.
Matrix material touches on the very things covered in the Bowart book.
Ask Bill English what he thinks of the Libertarians. Interesting
response.
Just a little additional thought. In Cosmic Trigger, Wilson gives us a
"cosmic message" which he says that Leary had decided to apply to
himself. That message? LEAR-23-666-333.
Well, who knows... maybe it is just "synchronicity" and nothing else.
And now -- onto the next fable!

To John Chalmers
About Klass. There is a great issue of OMNI magazine that you might
find interesting. The entire issue is devoted to "Science and
Censorship. (February 1987). THere is an article in the "Continuum" by
Jerome Clark about CSICOP and some interesting statements about Phill
Klass.
The article states that not long after the formation of this group,
CSICOP went and complained to the FCC about an NBC Documentary that
treated paranormal phenomena more "sympathetic then the debunkers"
liked. Althought CSICOP alleged that the point of view the documentary
represented was harmful to the public, the FCC, unimpressed, refused to
act.
To direct quote the article:
"In one strange indicent CSICOP official Philip J. Klass, learning of a
forum of anomalies research that the University of Nebraska was
sponsoring, called the school to protest that CSICOP's views were not
being represented, and that, moreover, in questioning the United States
government's word on the nonexistence of UFOs, speakers at the
conference were seeking "what the Soviet Union does -- to convey to the
public that our government cannot be trusted, that it lies, that it
falsifies.... As a patriotic American I very much resnt [this]." After
Klass threatened legal action against the university, it canceled its
sponsorhip of future conferences of this kind. Klass withdrew the
threat and pronounced himself satisfied with the university's action."
Clark then adds:
"Since then satellite groups of debunkers have prolifierated all around
the country, determined to do battle with "pseudoscience" real and
imagined. Not content simply to argue the issues on their merits, they
have harassed colleges and universities in dropping (unusally
noncredit) courses in paraphychology, conducted vituperative campaigns
against anomaly proponents, and done -- in the words of Philadelphian
Drew Endacott, on of their number -- "anything short of criminal
activity" to get "the point across to people who have no demonstrated
facility to reason."
I only ask one thing: What determins the facility of reasoning?
