Mike,
I think you are correct in your assessment of the "black helicopters."
There is nothing unusual about black helicopters with the advent of the
new Army choppers, which are black. There are markings on them, which
I have seen, but I had to get up fairly close to see them. The
signal-to-noise ratio isn't very good. ;-)

Clark:
Saw that episode and it was errie. If you'd like a real chill, take
the time to read _Midnight_ by Dean R. Koontz (since I'm at home on my
PC I'm sure of the spelling--got the book right in front of me 8-)). I
In the book, Koontz brings the idea of marrying the two together in a
way that emotions, other than fear, are prevented by the tiny
microchips within each human. The result is that they feel nothing but
fear--no pleasure, no anger, no hate, no love, no compassion, etc. The
result is--well, I won't give away the plot that easily. ;-)
Also, Koontz wrote a book that dealt with UFOs called _Strangers_ that
I think everyone out there might want to take time to read. There have
several books along the lines of UFOs (fictionalizations) and the
implantation of chips (bio or otherwise) into humans. If there is
enough interest, I'll put together a list and post it.
The bio-chip is still an interesting idea. I haven't read much about
it lately, but I think I still have some of the original articles about
it and the research into the brain in search of how to make computers
more like our brains. Fascinating stuff, and I am sure that John
Chalmers might have more info on all of this from what he wrote in a
recent post. What say you John?

There were numerous sightings of unusual lights in the sky around the
Ensley area near Birmingham tonight (3/30). There was no
corresponding air traffic that might account for these "lights"
according to Birmingham airport FAA personnel. There will possibly be
an article concerning these sightings in the late issue of the
Birmingham News on Saturday (3/31).
Anyone witnessing these events or with additional information is
encouraged to call MUFON of Alabama at (205) 586-6568 (Arab) or

Aside from what you mentioned, that shot really bothers me too.
It's absolutely amazing that Walters managed to prefocus the camera
on the exact spot where his wife would dodge the blue beam, if you get
what I mean.

Never mind the occasional 'overquote'...just think of all the time and money

The USENET headers are, as I understand the situation, required if
responses are ever to find their way back to the poster (USENET being
several orders of magnitude more complex than the Paranet Network).
If this is *NOT* the case, then maybe something can be done. I suspect
this is just the price of doing business over USENET, and one that
I personally DON'T OBJECT to paying.

No offense, GRAHAM, but that's really about all its good for. Yes, we can
construct scenarios like that, but where does it get us? If such were the
case, there would be no further point to UFO research. Everything we came
across would be suspect - the positive leads as well as the negative ones. You
might as well sit in the corner and wring your hands for the rest of your
life, mumbling "oh, dear, whatever shall we do?"

Plus the fact that Moore came across the same information independently of
Klass, and only recently admitted it.

I beleive the claimed size for the alien implants is 2 to 3
millimeters. I saw a copy of someone's head "scan" (I think it was
Stribers) and there was this little white dot that was obvious to
anyone and naturally, unexplainable by the medical community. No
mention was made of whether the scan had been repeated or what other
analysis had been done. However, given the obviousness of it, there is
no way such "dots' could be missed yet apparently there has been no
outpouring of concern over these things by the medical community even
though if we are to beleive Hopkins, et al, there are millions of
people wandering around with these things in their heads and there
would have to be quite a few of them who would have gotten CAT scans
where they would have shown up. The "
investigation" of the one scan
that I saw that did show the "
implant" is all to typical of the level
of investigation that goes into these things. Apparently, after
finding something that would support the implant theory, all further
investigation stops lest contradictory evidence be found.

Gene:

I'm pretty much convinced that "
MJ-12" per se is a hoax. My pet theory at this
point is that such a group exists, but that this particular incarnation was
cooked up to discredit any further investigation. However, it still remains a
possibility that Moore and/or members of his team are the hoaxers, and that's
what the rubber stamp controversy is all about. Todd and other CAUS members
seem to be zeroing in on Moore, as Klass has done all along. I remain doubtful
about this possibility, and the information you provided tends to reinforce my
doubts; but there's so much we don't know, so much happening behind
smokescreens, that I am open to anything at this point.

You raise a good issue for closer inspection, John. I shall make some
inquiries and see if we can get a more detailed rendition of this story.

Interestingly enough, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln later did host a
MUFON Symposium in 1988. There were no legal battles, and Klass attended
quietly.

I guess we've both been thinking Gene. The following is a message I posted in

In a message of <25 Mar 90 18:49:48>, Larry Carley (1:2200/176) writes:

I agree with you. If they are observing us for scientific reasons or if they
have had a part in our evolutionary development and they want to check on our
progress or whether it's just curiosity, couldn't they do this while in orbit?
After all, we are supposed to have a satellite that can photgraph a pack of
cigarettes on the ground. With their technology of space travel wouldn't you
think they would have similar photo reconnaissance?

The fact is that UFO's are still being sighted. So why are they coming down
into our atmosphere where they may be seen? I don't think they want to be seen
otherwise they would be showing themselves more in populated areas during
daylight hours.

If they're hiding because of a Star-Trek-like non-interference directive,
they're doing a poor job of it! So I'll assume that they want to remain unseen
but for some reason *must* take the chance of exposing themselves.

So the question is, what is their motivation? I don't know, but if we think of
mankinds motivation to do things we can come up with some possibilities. Man
does things which will benefit man. This could be doing something out of
kindness or for some sort of political or monetary gain. I'm not aware of the
ET's doing anything out of kindness nor do I see any concern on their part in
our political or economic areas so their concern seems to be for them. What
could they want that they can't get anywhere else that they can travel to?

What does this planet have that no other known planet can offer?
