Dear believers...
I may be new to the UFO stuff but for me, it is irrational not to beleive in
them. " I also accept that every human *is* a different opinion, so...".
I may be displaying my ignorance with this questions, anyway, here I go.
- Why the Goverments around the world are so afraid of
admitting the UFO existence?
Let us assume that the U.S. Goverment (to take an example) admit and show
their proofs.
- What would be the people's response?
- Which step will we take next?
... and before you reply, remember that
"there are GOOD guys and BAD guys out there".
Virtually yours...

Regarding the Roswell crash, I remember hearing something about
a resident owning a piece of the crashed "craft". Is this true,
and, if so, is he still alive?

From what I know (and admittedly it is only what is generally available
in the news) the Admirals conviction along with all the rest of the
convictions, seems to be in order and not supriseing. On the premise
that Reagan was the Space Cadet he so obviously is, it seems clear, at
least to me, that Poindexter was really the one who was the guiding
hand behind all the Iran-COntra mess, aided and abetted by a gung-ho
Ollie North, a man not given to deep thoughts about the underllying
morality of what he is doing. The Juries in both cases, seem to have
done a good job of sticking to the facts and motivations of the players
and have rendered judgements that seem to fit. The only one getting
off that was a major player is Reagan, and we all know that you usually
don't convict the mentally ill.

Apparently, John, you not only have seen nothing to support the attacks, you
have also seen positive evidence that they are untrue, since you classify
them as "scurrilous". Can you share your evidence with us? Does Shulz defend
Klass, and if so, how?

We had stopped at one of the major lookout points, I forget the name,
but I remember it was at about 5000' according to the ssign in the
kiosk. WE had passed two turnoffs for picnic areas, and were heading up
the mountain again, at a point with a fairly shear drop of on the left.
It sounds like you know the area better than I do (it was our first
drive up it), so maybe you can identify where we were. It was very
clear from the way they were blocking the road that we were not going
to be let past for some reason! A pretty wierd experience.

Clark: I came upon another reference to EM and hearing
in "Fringes of Reason." It is an excerpt from "UFOs
and Related Subjects," Lynn E. Catoe, Gale Research Co,
Book Tower, Dept. 77748, Detroit MI, 48277-0748, (313/961
2242). The reference is to The UFO Investigator, Vol. 3,
Nov-Dec. 1965, p5. It summarizes work by Prof. Clyde E.
Ingalls, of Cornell Univ. No details are given, but it
is a place to start looking. I would expect that there
is much more recent work. --- John

No, not necessarily. There a number of mechanisms by which volatiles
can be trapped. Without them, there would be no helium balloons,
since Earth's gravity is too weak to hold Helium.

It SOUNDS contrived - something a mediocre S.F. writer could put
together in a couple of hours. Once again, no documentation, no
verifiable predictions, no nothing.

Can anyone provide any details about a reported Project Silver Lance (or
Silverlance)? According to a source, it was a U.S. project dealing
with UFOs, and it preceded Project Blue Book.

Well it's all a matter of perspective isn't it? Some people would become upset
and others would feel freedom with their new found knowledge. What bothers me
is that I have no choice in the matter.
