Right! Carlos Allende aka Carl Meredith Allen [per his seaman's papers].
Of course, Allende is the BIG problem with the "PhilEx" scenario. It would
almost be MORE credible if he wasn't part of it!

But, as weird & sometimes deranged as Allen/Allende was/is, the directions
he showed to researchers have been remarkably fruitful & tantalizing! And
in the case of Morris Jessup -- they may have been FATAL.

What are we to make of Allende? Do you know, is he still living?

Also, are you familiar with the claims of an individual named Al Blieleck
(sp?). This Blieleck character is possibly as weird as Allen/de. He claims
to be a teleported/transfigured seaman from the Philly Experiment who found
himself on the lawn of a bush-league Long Island military base in 1984 or
thereabouts, where he was met by Dr. John von Neumann (who had been dead for
several years ... but that is not our story).

Blieleck also maintains that he helped Dr. Von Neuman and Nicola Tesla with
the Philly Experiment, as well as the invention of the electronic computer
-- it's amusing because he says the first electronic computer was called the
"MANIAC". It was actually called ENIAC, if memory serves. Some slip, huh?

So, what's the scoop on Allende?

Best,
Clark

Ha! I've heard uncredited rumors that Stealth fighters participated in
the Panama invasion ... but what the heck would the things be doing in
places like Peekskill, for pete's sake?

Utter nonsense, this.

Hello Karen and welcome to ParaNet!

As to your post above, I think there's a very heavy preponderence of
evidence that UFOs are real and may even come in several varieties. But,
yes, the official government line is that they don't exist and the
government doesn't study them -- and that people would collapse into dispair
if we discovered we weren't alone in the universe. [Which the government
isn't interested in studying, of course. Because UFOs don't exist. Got
it?]

Your step-sister's feelings are understandable but I don't think they're
typical. For the last 50 years, the US government has paid or encouraged
this line of reasoning for not revealing information about UFOs -- a Dr.
Menzel of Harvard University wrote several books discrediting UFO sightings
and evidence from the 40s, 50s and 60s as part of his work as a stringer for
the CIA, for example. And today, paid flacks with government/intelligence
community connections continue to discredit UFO sightings and evidence in
books, magazine articles, TV and radio appearances, etc.

One example of these paid flacks is Mr. Phil Klass, a former editor at
Aviation Week who has strong defense and "spook" connections. Many of the
"facts" he uses to discredit UFO evidence are patently false, and he also
attacks the character of witnesses, as well as occasionally
intimidating them by threatening to go to the FBI on their behalf.

As to your step-sister's misgivings, perhaps she should -- like all good
Christians -- render unto both Caesar and God. That is, give an honest
accounting to God ... and EXPECT an honest accounting from our elected
government. Because, clearly, stuff is going on here that is being kept
from us, and honest, forthright people are being smeared and intimidated.

Sorry for the speach. And once again, welcome.

Best,
Clark

Quite true, Karen. However, I am curious as to why they might
have become uneasy about the phenomenon and what their feelings
were regarding the religious aspect as they perceive it.

Just a bit of humor, John...While working as an insurance
salesman for Mutual of Omaha I was told that the earth is covered
by 2/3 water and the other 1/3 is covered by Mutual of Omaha.
Kinda makes you wonder who is really in charge.

in the book...have you seen the videotape. I suggest you might check it

might have a chance, but as a group, UFOlogists do not like to stick to
facts, they are far more interested in speculation of the most
incredible
sort and once that starts the LoveBoat is going to sink.

@ Ok,point well taken. Could you name some hard facts and documentation
that WILL stand up in either a court of law or a congressional inquiry?

Let's form a CONSENSUS...

And don't tell me that we ain't got "nothun" from the last 20 years,
that could be used.

I'd say BALONEY to that.

JS>Take my word for it. There is a very highly credible group working
on this
as we speak. I've mentioned it here before, hoping that the word would
spread, so that others would hush up and let that group do its thing.

@ Well, that's NEWS to me. First mention I've heard of this.

I understand the need to keep certain aspects silent for a time, until
more complete research is performed, but how's about a *status report*
from time to time?

I would certainly devote time, effort and resources to helping with
a local mailing in my area. But I think something of this nature
will have more than just surface effects.

A congressional probe of this type is gonna kick over more than
just a few anthills. Cerainly,I can see the need for MUCH documentation
here and lots of credible sources.

And I understand that it takes time to line-up these things. A probe
of this type will turn the govt upside-down and inside-out and shake
loose some stuff (hopefully).

Notwithstanding,it's time the REAL truth got told about it and how
things have/will impact our destiny on this 3rd orb from the sun.

Paranet recently. What is (or was) the "Philadelphia Experiment"? If the
answer is too long for Paranet, you can send e-mail to:

Someone attending my local UFO group said yesterday that a friend
of hers back east said that there have been mass sightings of
a UFO (or UFOs) with possibly some photos in Provincetown, MA, within
the last week or so. The local paper carried the story (or stories)
on the front page. Does anyone here know more about this? Thanks.
