Does anyone have any info on the late 40's crash in Louisiana that is
referenced by the memo with J.E. Hoovers note ? I would like to
research more into this crash.

Human learning is confused with accepted labels of explanation. Such as
UFOs must follow accepted guidelines to be real. Perhaps there is a
reality curve of acceptance wn't based on observations. I'm sure that
in you experience you've seen things which just fit too neatly to be an
accident. However, in all cases sciences requires a reason for neat
fits. Maybe, there is an intelligence playing with us because weare so
easy to confuse.

I don't think there is an airport in that rural area. Landings have
been hushed up so as to not draw attention to that area again. One guy
tied dogs to all corners of his house, but they landed anyway.

I'll have to look that up. As I said it was the only time known that a
judge in America ordered notes and records destroyed, and they actually
were. This was about 1955 or 57 so things were pretty small minded then
and the doctors had much sway and Reich was in trouble with the AMA
having made claims that the orgone chamber would cure "incurable
diseases"
so lots of wealthy people were coming to him and being treated
when they had terminal cancer etc, and giving him lots of money. I'll
find out the grounds for the destroying of records and get back to you.

Reich had a way of measuring the "field" around different substances, and
was interested in the "fields" arounokd radioactive substances as well.
The personal notes and records were destroyed, but of course the books
that had been published could not be collected and destroyed, but the
notes and stuff for the next books were destroyed. I will find out what
the grounds used by the judge. There's a fellow in Northern California
named Dr. James Demeo who continues some of the work of Reich with the
"cloudbuster" and he has had some beneficial results.

Stephen:

Its my opinion that Abel's claim to the media of being behind the
Voronezh hoax, IS IN ITSELF ANOTHER HOAX ON THE MEDIA. Abel gave some
details on the plans he sent to Russia on ABC's 20/20. NONE of the
elements he listed were seen in the Voronezh case, and in fact were so
hokey (a tape recorder playing the "Twilight Zone" theme) that almost
anyone else would pick up on it. Yet, so far I haven't seen the press
"debunking" Abel's latest claim. I think Abel has successfully shown how
gullible the media is in thinking that "any" explanation of a UFO
sighting is better than considering the possibility that its real.

(By the way, I consider Voronezh a hoax, but for reasons totally
unrelated to Abel's claim).

I agree with you that the government has a duty to protect the public
from medical quackery (and has been highly derelict in its duty, of
late). I'm not for or against Reich at this point, not knowing much
about him, and I defer to your learned statements about the efficacy of
"orgone energy". I was really just curious as to what justification was
used to actually destroy someone's published works and personal notes.

If I may be so bold, it sounds to me as if the book-burning was the act
that made Wilhelm Reich a household name today, thereby achieving the
opposite of the desired effect.

The CIA was created 17 Sept 1947 by Harry Truman (the same date as the
phony "Truman MJ-12 letter"). One of the MJ-12 people, as I recall, was
its first head, but I can't remember which.

I think the writer meant "1984".

Does anyone with access to earth models have any idea if they indicate
the hurricanes in Englang and Europe? I don't recall winds of this
magnitude, and it certainly seems that they don't have a sat. weather
watch to help prepare for them.

Speculation is okay, but I'd really like to hear from someone who can
look at the model output, if such a person gets this list, of any reader
has access to the output.

Hi Reuben. Well, the fellow in California who's fooling around with
"cloudbusters" is fortunate indeed if all the effects are beneficial.
I understand the original "cloudbuster" and several of Reich's other
inventions involved dangerously concentrated Uranium 238 and Pitchblend
concoctions.

Winston, that memo is a matter of some controversy. Fact is, it is not
known just what "LA" refers to.

For the benefit of others, Winston is talking about a memorandum signed
by J. Edgar Hoover and released thru FOIA, in which Hoover is responding
to an order for certain branches of the government to cooperate with the
Army Air Corps on UFO crash/retrievals. Hoover responds, (paraphrasing),
"I would do it, but would demand access to all disks recovered. For
instance, in the LA crash, the Army would not give us access."

I don't remember whether there are periods after "L" and "A", but I seem
to recall there were. Its been postulated that parts of the Roswell disk
were taken to Los Alamos for examination. I've never heard of a "Los
Angeles"
disk crash, nor of one in Louisiana.

The following blatantly commercial message was posted with the
permission of the ParaNet Administrator. ParaNet is a participant in the
profits from the following offering. So, those of you who like what
we're doing, send in your order now!
____________________________________

In August of 1943, a switch was thrown in the Philadelphia Naval
Shipyard, beginning the most controversial experiment in Naval history.
The experiment, known as Project Rainbow, allegedly involved making a
ship "invisible." According to the Navy, the USS Eldridge was merely
made "magnetically invisible" that day. According to others, it was not
only made optically invisible, but the ship reappeared for several
seconds in the Norfolk shipyards.

And, according to one man, something even more incredible and bizarre
occurred. Two of the men aboard the ship were actually TRANSPORTED
FORWARD IN TIME to the year 1984, where they spent several days trying
to get back to their own time. In other words, claims Al Bielek, the
plot for the "fictionalized" movie, "The Philadelphia Experiment," is a
true story, and he lived it.

Bielek's claims would go largely ignored, were it not for his
electrifying appearance at the National UFO Conference in Phoenix this
past September. His presence, his demeanor, and his recall of facts all
suggest a man in total possession of his faculties, who actually lived
the experiences he tells about. It was the single most talked-about
event at the conference.

Now you can witness this incredible event yourself. A videotape of the
speech has been made available through ParaNet, and can be yours for
$19.95 plus $3 shipping.

It is not ParaNet's intention to promote this tape or Mr. Bielek's
speech as anything approaching confirmed truth; quite the opposite in
fact. Mr. Bielek's account leaves many questions unanswered, and there
are discrepancies in his testimony big enough to drive a destroyer
through. But ParaNet exists to disseminate information, and Mr. Bielek's
claims are information, whether they be truth or fiction. In a future
offering, we hope to provide a one-hour, one-on-one interview with
Bielek, in which we will take up all the controversial issues raised in
his speech, in an effort to provide as much information as possible so
that viewers can make an informed judgement on Bielek's claims.

For now, however, this recorded speech forms the nucleus of one of the
hottest controversies in the history of anomalistics, and is an absolute
necessity for those of you interested in following up on the so-called
"Philadelphia Experiment."

Please print out this message, and clip out the order form below, or
copy it from the screen. Be sure and indicate that you saw this offer on
ParaNet.

It is not at all clear that the "it" was a real disk or a Hoax disk
being referred to in the Hoover Memo. Presumably, if they wouldn't let
the FBI have access to a fake one they certainly wouldn't let them have
access to a real one and Hoover would likely be miffed. Hoover might
also have been in the dark about the truth of the supposed reality of
the recovered disks and merely been speculating that there had been a
recovery. It is a somewhat ambiguous memo.

Yes; for maybe about 1 minute. The show devoted about 15 minutes to the UFO
phenomena, but on all aspects. Each aspect (Roswell, the Japan video,
abductions, Bud Hopkins etc) was covered in about 1 or 2 minutes. You didn't
miss much if anything.
I wanted to tape the show but the cable TV went out about 5 minutes before the

after the New York broadcast ended (8:10 PM).
