I read your messages about Lazar and Area 51 and was
wondering if you could resend part I of that series
as I did not get it. It's not listed here. Thanx.

Is there anyone in the KLAS-TV area that taped their
series on Lazar? If so, is there a way that I might
get a copy of it? And what about his 3 hr radio
interview, dose anyone have it on tape? I'd also like
to get a copy of that. Thanx.

Yes, that is the way things are for the most part with them. The way I
see it, is that subjects are classified into basically 2 catagories. (1).
Subjects that REALLY need to be classified to some level as necessary.
and (2). Things that are classified simply because someone up in the
heirarchy considers the subject matter to be of some kind of an
embarresment, either personally, or an embarresment for the country.
When I was working for "Uncle Sugar", the boys from the "Puzzle Palace"
would routinely "debrief" us. But their routine was that after we came
back from "somewhere", we would be told that "from now on, remember this,
that 'you weren't where you thought you were, you were actually in [fill
in bogus location name in blank], and you were not doing what you thought
you were doing. From now on, if anyone asks, you were "
on a training
exercise." Now this differs from what we were told before we were
deployed into our A.O. Then we were told that if we got caught or
killed, that we would be listed as just having "
been lost at sea"
irrecoverably. Our "
group" was lucky enough not to have any of our
members "
lost at sea". But if any of us discussed as "fact" anything that
we did, or anywhere we went as fact, Uncle Sugar could STILL pay us a
visit with extreme prejudice. It's an effective way of keeping those who
were actually involved from letting too much of the cat out of the bag.
It doesnt matter WHAT government, or WHAT country anyone is talking
about, if ANY government, including our own, decides that something is
too hot for the public to hear about, they WILL use extreme measures and
extreme prejudice (read abduction and assination) to keep the subject
quiet, including the mis-handling of the person's family. Governments of
ANY country, have no concience whatsoever, unless they get caught with
their hand in the cookie jar, in full view of the world. That's what
happened with the Iran/Contra thing. If the American people had any idea
that that was something unusual, or that it was a routine type of thing,
they would scream to high heaven. But, according to the offical releases,
that and other similar operations are quite unusual. Yeah.... right.....
But the fact is, that EVERY country in the whole world is doing it, and
they do it to each other, and even to their own people. Why? So they can
stay in power, regardless of the cost. Power corrupts, and absolute power
corrupts absolutly.

Jim -

It sounds as though you know something definite. Can you elaborate?
If not now... when you know something for sure? This net is my only
source for information about upcoming TV programs which discuss UFOs
and UFO related topics. I appreciate the advanced notice. That way,
I can be ready with my trusty VCR to tape the segment.

Thanks in advance.

Based upon past discussions in the net about the study of ufology
not being scientific and about the lack of professionalism in
reporting sightings and etc., this seems like just what this
field needs - to have a rational discussion of scientific principles
as it relates to the investigation of these phenomena.

I'm all for it. The more that students learn about critical thinking
now, the better. For so long education has been the regurgitation
of facts and the blind acceptance that popular theories are fact.

It always seemed to me, that by the time a student graduated from
high school, he was lucky if all of his natural inquisitiveness
hadn't been snuffed out. Very few teachers seem to be able to
enhance that quality in their students. To actually encourage
independent thinking and critical analysis of what is presented
should be the goal of education at any level.

Can you post any information about the approximate cost and the
address where these transcripts might be obtained? Keep us posted
on the status of getting these presentations on-line.

Thanks!

To ALL:

Since the requests have been so overwhelming about the KLAS-TV
special, I have decided to make it available to anyone who wants
one. The only catch is that you have to send the tape and
postage to get it to you (and if inclined, a little donation for
the time).

Send it to:

ParaNet
P.O. Box 928
Wheatridge, CO 80034-0928

This is the news shorts only. There are seven of the nine. The
seven cover day one through seven and include all of the Lazar
material. The tapes are in HI-FI for those interested.

Hi.

* Replying to a message originally to Jim Speiser
>You're right...it is just *to easy*. Ya wanna know why? The Ruskies
>are in more financial trouble now than ever b4. They need our
>money. They want our banks to loan them money. They want us to give

Are not the Chinese also in dire need of foreign exhange? And look at the
state of communism over there - still ruling by the BOOT!
Financial reasons themselves are not a cause for change on such a grand
scale. If I remember correctly, East Germany has a higher rate of employment
than their West German counterparts. Their businesses were supposedly doing
well yet the young were wanting something more out of life than a selected
job working for the state.

>fear. If they DO default, then the government, <ahem> the
>tax-payers will bail them out. West Germany and some other European
>countries have already loaned out all kinds of money. (and they'll
>never get it all back IMO). The wall has fallen in Berlin. Ya know

I seem to remember Mexico being the subject of indebtedness regarding the
World Bank and other international creditors. It seems that quite a few
countries require the removal of all debts in order to stay in "
business".
Look at the Phillipines, Greece etc. Without U.S.A aid they would have gone
down the tubes years ago.

>You're right though, Gorby DOES seem really nice...he's quite a
>con-artist. In fact, in a poll
>(I think it was taken in Sweden) the majority of the people thought
>that Gorby had done more for peace between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R
>than Bush had. Possibly even true...but you have to look at his

Many people in this country also believe that "
Gorby" has done more to halt
the arms race than "
Ray-Gun". Was it not the USSR that requested talks about
arms limitations. Ok, so suppose they had an alterior motive. So what! At
least some effort has been made to rid the world of nuclear weapons.

Don't get me wrong, an effective/efficient defence force is required but
what is the use of these bombs. If I was USSR and I decided to attack USA, I
could do so with my bombs but what would be left to take, a blackened
lunar-like surface devoid of all life.

If you recall the song "
Sting" penned a few years back about "hope the
Russians love their children too..." . And indeed I would think that they
have more respect for their children than say the Iranians.

>subject, I don't know why we actually pulled some of our forces OUT
>of Europe...I know that the Soviets did the same, but they
>outnumber (sp.?) our forces there something like 3 to 1. Well, see

So what if they do. You also outnumber there forces by 1000's to one on the
continental America. The USA is not part of Europe. Never has been and never
will so the sooner they leave the better.

Both USSR and USA have been responsible for some pretty atrocious acts over
the parts 2-3 decades. Is it not now time to work together for the
bettermeant of man. What if aliens are preparing to attack us? It may be
off-beat to suggest just a thing but if we can't be united now we certainly
can't be united in war!

Regards..
MJ.

Date: 10 Dec 89 20:47:00 GMT

To All:

Just received word from AP that there have been a rash of UFO sightings in the
Liege Province of Belgium.

Since November 29, Brussels AP office reports, many people have observed
strange lights in the sky. Described as "
Flying platforms scanning the
surface with three huge searchlights...and, dancing lights in the night
skies."

In addition, the sightings have been confirmed by radar and have been observed
by the Defense Ministry and police.

More information to follow.
