Marc,

Very interesting report. I am curious as to what has prompted you to begin
looking into WS and Hopkins. I noticed a couple of posts ago that you
mention that you were curious about this stuff, but do you feel that there
is a connection between your curiousity and what has happened recently?

I am also curious about what your conclusions are as to what may be
occurring with you at this point.

Again, this is a very interesting report, particularly the strange light
that your wife also saw.

There is a general feeling here in Australia that Pine Gap (NORAD
Base) is engaged in something more than defence. Are we all paranoid
anout this establishment?

To All:

In an effort to provide the highest quality conference possible,
I am interested in comments, suggestions or any type of feedback
that will help to accomplish this goal. I have heard from some
of you privately, however I would like most of all to hear from
all of you, including the sysops. What can we do to improve
things around here? One idea that I have is perhaps we should
moderate the UFO conference.

Finally, since we have initiated a link with UUCP, we have been
sending out a digest. This is the equivalent to the Fido echo
here, however the messages entered on ParaNet are placed into a
news digest together. Our mailing list is fairly extensive. I
would like to hear from each of the subscribers out there about
what their opinion is on the conference and how we could make it
better for all. Also, I would like to see each subscriber enter
a message introducing themselves and what their UFO interests
are.

Hope to hear from each of you in the near future.

Hi Marc. Sorry for the (latest) lapse in communication, but as you see
I'm back, notwithstanding a hard disk crash, a move, and much more.

Your post is astonishing. As ParaNet's practicing astronomer, you've
always been among the most hardheaded people here. So I feel compelled
to take your story seriouslyand commend your courage in posting it
here. Leave me email with your home or work phone -- your phone number
is still packed with 4 filing cabinets-worth of notes, files,
printouts, dumps, etc.

Best,
Clark

Hello, Bob! I didn't know NORAD had bases in Australia, but your post
caught my eye for another reason, too:

Have you read any of Bruce Cathie's books on the weird
electrogravitational effects "down under"? "The Bridge to Infinity,"
"Harmonic 33" are probably the best known books. Cathie is/was a
captain for Air New Zealand (??? not sure of the airline name --
sorry). He has numerous mathematical/geometric theories to explain UFO
visibility/invisibility, flight paths, etc.

Cathie's theories are unfathomable to me, but he has collected and
collated some very interesting reports of USAF/RNZAF/RAAF bases and
facilities that seem to be doing electromagnetic and "other"
broadcasting work. He also documents a bizarre "explosion" in a
"factory" in Auckland in 1966/7. The "factory" building sort of flew
apart. Without a blast, or any burning, or collateral damage -- or
anything. Apparently there wasn't anything explosive IN the place, not
even gas. The mysterious "owners" were doing electronic work.

Anyway, I'd be very interested in anything you or your fellow
antipodeans could contribute on this subject.

Best,
Clark

Commenting on an article posted 8/26, which I quote here:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
DATE OF ARTICLE: February 24, 1989
SOURCE OF ARTICLE: McCurtain Daily Gazette
Captain Lloyd Tetrault, USMC, who is Chief of Near Earth
Satellite Processing at NORAD Center, Colorado Springs, Colo.,
Tetrault said since he had been with the space tracking
program for nearly three years, "we've never found an object
three feet in diameter or larger we didn't identify."
Literally thousands of things each day are flashed in a millisecond
to the command post. We just have not had anything show up we
didn't run down,"
"Let's put it this way. In the past three years no alien
spacecraft have entered the earth's atmosphere or left it unless
they're totally undetectable.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice to know how, over the ramparts they watch, looking out for
us so well. But if this is true, I wonder why they have to develop
special expensive new equipment and aircraft to catch the drug-
running bandidos, who have been slipping into the country all over.
And there is concern that this will still not be enough to catch
them. Also it appears that stealth type aircraft have to be at close
range to be detected.
Chief of Near Earth Satellite Processing at NORAD Center,
underground, sounds like a high level of security clearance. This
would seem to put us in the position of considering whether this is
disinformation. It does not sound right to me at all. It seems to me
there are lots of radar cases on file.
If you were to assume this was the truth, (which I don't) then
how high up do we have to go, to find the level which obstructed
Goldwater and Don Ecker and Linda Howe and others and sent
helicopters after the Coynes?
I do note, however, that he is talking about only the last three
years, and that may have something to do with it.

People are still thinking too metaphysical when they look at some of his material. Just like people did in the 17th Century when science was struggling to gain a foothold on realities seen and unseen ---

Bearden did have a subcontract with Computer Sciences Corporation and Systems Development Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama -- where he "solves the UFO phenomenon". (Once again, from the book Mind Wars by McRae)

Huntsville/Redstone is close "airspace" wise to Fyffe Alabama and surrounding areas. It has been reported that the surrounding areas have had ongoing UFO problems.

You might want to see what you can dig up in research material done by Persinger. I was struck by his little part in the Transending Science article in the December 1988 issue of OMNI Magazine. I heard he has released more material, and I strongly feel that it should be seriously considered by those who are looking into the UFO phenomenon. It could very well shed some "light" on Bearden "obscurities" ---
