Subject: Optical Music Recognition
Summary: any pointers?
Keywords: pattern recogniton, omr, ocr, music notation

I'm working on a program for recognition of printed music. Now I'm
looking for pointers to literature and people concerning the same
subject. Any infos appreciated, email to roth@ips.id.ethz.ch.

So far I have contacts to McGill University, Canada and University of
Surrey, England.

I read about the WABOT Keyboard Playing Robot of Waseda University,
Tokyo. Anyone knows if someone since worked on the recognition of
music ?

Subject: Look for list of articles/software on boundary detection

I want to study / compare different boundary detection schemes on noisy
images. Books, papers, tech. reports and software/algorithms are
needed. I'd be very grateful if someone could offer a list. Also, I'm
looking for algorithm/hardware that delivers real-time performance( such
as process one frame within 1 second ). Any public domain software on
this I can retrieve? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I have just started my doctoral thesis. The topic is artificial vision
and mobile robots. I am interested in neural nets and vision. I would
be very grateful if you could point me to some references. Any
suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Arturo

Call for Papers

Fourth International Conference on Computer
Vision ICCV 93

Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin , Berlin Germany

May 11 - 13, 1993

The Conference

ICCV'93 is the fourth international conference devoted solely to computer
vision. It is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society and co-sponsored by the
European Vision Society as well as by the Gesellschaft fuer Informatik. The
conference will be chaired by Hans-Hellmut Nagel.

(Phone: +49-721-6091-210; Fax: +49-721-6091-413; E-mail: hhn@iitb.fhg.de)

The Program

The program will consist of high quality contributed papers, containing major
new research contributions on all aspects of computer vision. All papers will
be refereed by the members of the Program Committee. Accepted papers will be
presented as long papers in a single track, as shorter contributions or as
posters.

Program Committee

The Program Committee consists of about thirty prominent members representing
all major facets of computer vision.

Paper Submission

Authors should submit four paper copies of their contribution(s) to

Hans-Hellmut Nagel

FhG-IITB

Fraunhoferstr. 1

D-7500 Karlsruhe 1/Germany

by October 23, 1992

All papers will be reviewed using a double blind procedure, implying that the
identities of the
authors will not be known to the reviewers.

The manuscripts submitted should include the following (in that order):

(i) A title page - containing the title of the contribution, the name(s)
and address(es) of
the author(s), an abstract of up to 200 words, and key words characterizing
the contribution.

(ii) A second anonymous title page - containing only the title of the
contribution, the
abstract and the key words.

(iii) The contribution itself (double spaced, 12 point) including text,
figures, references,
etc. The total length of the contribution including the anonymous title page
must not exceed
30 pages.

The (first) author given on the full title page will be notified of acceptance
by mid-December 1992.

The final camera-ready version of accepted contributions, typed on special
forms, will be due
by January 20, 1993.
