Chaosium Digest Volume 34, Number 09
Date: Friday, August 31, 2001
Number: 1 of 1

Editor's Note:

I guess the big convention season tapped out all the budding writers out
there. I've not seen one submission all month. For all the new subscribers
out there, all content for the Chaosium Digest comes from reader
submissions. Now, any submissions dealing with currently supported Chaosium
games, Call of Cthulhu, Stormbringer and Dragon Lords of Melnibone, qualify
as entries for Chaosium's quarterly contest. The prize being $40 of Chaosium
product, winner's choice. September 30 is the deadline for this quarter's
contest and there's not much competition at this time.

It should also be noted that I also accept submissions for Nephilim,
Pendragon and Glorantha (formerly published by Chaosium), Delta Green,
Cthulhu Live and about anything else related to Cthulhu, including original
fiction. However, only articles dealing with Chaosium's currently supported
game lines qualify for the Chaosium sponsored contest.

Aside from the announcement from Issaries Inc. below, that's it for this
issue. All you budding authors out there, keep those submissions coming!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

* Pavis and Griffin Mountain Reprints Available!

Issaries, Inc. is very pleased to announce that the Gloranthan Classics
reprint editions of Pavis & Big Rubble and Griffin Mountain are finally
available.

We apologize for the lateness of these books -- Moon Design Publications
had numerous printing and shipping problems, so the softcover books were
only just received in the United States. Problems with the hardcovers
continue; when they are available, possibly not for a month or more, we
will make a separate announcement. However, quantities on the hardcover
books will be extremely limited, and we expect that we will be unable to
fill all of the
hardcover orders.

Although copies of the softcovers will be available through the normal
distribution channels (i.e., at some game stores), copies are limited. Both
books are available through Wizards Attic NOW, while supplies last. To
order, go to <http://www.wizards-attic.com/IssariesLicense.html>.

We are very pleased to be able to offer this classic Gloranthan campaign
information to our fans. We hope that old fans enjoy the layout and new
artwork of these new editions, and that new fans will be able to discover
the wonders of Pavis and Balazar for the first time.

Enjoy!
