The ancient city of Ollantaytambo
The ancient city of Ollantaytambo is located in southern Peru, about 60 kilometers northwest of the city of Cusco. The enormous megaliths and the perfection of the stone carving recall the theory of the Ancient Astronauts. This historical evidence in fact testifies that Ollantaytambo is proof that the Earth of the past was visited by extraterrestrial intelligences.
Ollantaytambo is an Inca archaeological site located in southern Peru, in the Cusco region, at an altitude of 2792 meters above sea level.
The ruins of the ancient city lie in a place that the Incas called the “Sacred Valley”.
Conventional historians believe that Ollantaytambo was built in 1440 AD by the Inca emperor Pachacuti.
Some researchers, however, are convinced that it was built on the ruins of a much older city, whose origins remain unknown.
“The gate that is called 'The Gate of the Gods' was built thousands of years before the Incas arrived in this region, by a civilization we call Hurimpacha,” explains Brien Foester, author of the book A brief history of Incas. “We gave them this name because we have no idea who they were, where they came from and where they went.” According to Foester, the oldest finds in Ollantaytambo date back to at least 12,000 years ago.
The outstanding questions always remain the same: how could the first humans on Earth build these amazing stone structures, with large blocks that fit together perfectly, with aqueducts and irrigation systems that still function today? And how could they move enormous granite boulders, each weighing more than 50 tons?
“Ollantaytambo is a mountain fortress,” explains Andrew Collins, author of “The Cygnus Mystery,” “best known for the incredible size of the blocks used in its construction. In particular, those found in the highest level of the mountain. "There are six mammoth blocks of granite positioned in a line.”
The monoliths were transported from another site, crossing a plain, a river and then taken up the mountain. Clearly, the biggest mystery is understanding how they cut them and got them up there.
Nowadays, in fact, if we had to move a 50-ton boulder we would have to assemble a special transport unit, including metal beams, axles and hydraulic lifts. To carry it to the top, it would probably be necessary to modify the elevation, build a road, and fix the boulder with metal cables to a pulley system.
The ability to fit these multi-ton stones perfectly together, so that not a hair passes between them, is not a question of time or effort, but a question of technology. Mainstream archaeologists maintain that the granite was cut and shaped with stone and bronze tools.
What is truly strange is the way the large rocks were set, as if they had been fused together by an unknown source of heat. It is as if two stones were placed next to each other and then fused together with some form of very high energy beam. Looking at the configuration of the blocks, there is really no explanation as to how they could have created such an intense heat source, to the point of welding the rocks together.
Further evidence of the mysterious methods used by the ancient builders can be found in the nearby Temple of the Condor. Here, huge slabs of andesite were quarried from the place known as the Living Rock Wall.
“The Temple of the Condor is particular, because we find enormous sections of stone in the shape of a parallelepiped” comments Collins. “This is andesite, a very hard rock, and it was removed from the mountain with such care that no scratch marks can be found on the surface. The rock surface looks rough, but when you touch it it feels smooth like bathroom tiles, which means some vitrification process was used.” Which we know happens above 1,500 degrees.
Prehistoric tools could not have achieved this result, especially considering that Ollantaytambo is made almost entirely of andesite. To cut it you need something harder than simple stone or bronze. Diamond could be used, but there were no tools in the Stone Age that could cut these rocks.
Is it possible that the ancient builders of Ollantaytambo really used tools from another world, as Ancient Astronaut Theorists claim? Some clues can be found in ancient creation myths passed down in the Andes.
In them, the ancestors, or founders, are described as brother and sister, children of the Sun God, sent to Earth by the Sun God himself. These two enigmatic characters arrive on Earth in possession of a golden wedge.
