Spicy Chili Garlic Pork Rib Tips


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pork rib tips
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 4 shiitake mushrooms, soaked and halved
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 3 star anises
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions:

  • Prepare one pound of pork rib tips.
  • Marinate the rib tips with soy sauce, cooking wine, chili garlic sauce, cornstarch, and oil for a few hours.
  • Soak shiitake mushrooms in water until soft, then cut them in half.
  • Heat a cooking pan over medium heat with 1 Tbsp of oil. Add ginger slices, star anises, and bay leaves. Then add the marinated pork ribs.
  • Cook the pork ribs until they turn golden brown (approximately 5-8 minutes).
  • Add the shiitake mushrooms, chicken broth, and hot water. Reduce the heat to medium-low, close the lid, and continue cooking for 25-30 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Turn the heat to medium-high to reduce the sauce.
  • Add in 1 tsp of sesame oil. Your Spicy Chili Garlic Pork Rib Tips are now ready to be served. Enjoy!
